Hi guys - I'm trying to install my new cold air induction and I need to get the front grill off (upper grill with the ford badge). I've taken the 3 or 4 screws/scrivets of the top panel and I can pull it forward but it seems the bottom is glued or has double-sided tape and its some tough stuff. I tried to gently pull it away but I think the grill is going to snap before whatever is securing it gives way. Has anybody had a simliar experience and I would be appreciative of any suggestions on how I can get it off.

Was out and about last night and it works quite well (obviously not so well when it is bright - hence the difficulties getting the photos done). Couple of different angles - trying to balance the bright car park with the dark interior - had to do long exposure shot to get the colour.

I'm going to try again to get it going - if I can get better performance without having to cash out and buy something else I'm in for it, if it has to happen new sub needs to go in - the stock one will only do what it can and im already thinking about ripping it out.

done it, 5w blue wedge led from jaycar, $2 each - works a treat

I had the same problem - removed the latch and couldnt get the wires out - got the sh*ts with it last night and will try again today - if any one has any tricks to getting them out let us know

dre did you just use the 5w wedge when you used white? I'm going to pick up some blue lights but wasnt sure if 5w would give enough light from them...

Guys - I've started planning some mods and getting the budget together and was concerned about what the ZF could take. Does anybody know how far you can push the stock ZF before I might start having issues? If so, is there anything I can do to safeguard against any damage that I might cause by pushing the extra power through it? I'm wanting to build out to 400-500rwkw and really dont know that much about the ZF so keen to make sure its part of the equation.

Hi Misty - post up some pics when you have put the new lights in - I wanted to do the same thing so I'm keen to see how it all works out.

im heading out to the car now, got to give this a try - ive been very dissapointed by the (lack off) performance with the premium sound so hopefully this adds some bang for the buck

brilliant to hear somebody who actually does a good job. I tried a local syd company that claims to be the only master certified tinters and after 5 phone calls/emails I finally got them out only to be told he had never done a FG before and didnt have time and then he left - WTF!!!

Guys - heaps of good discussion around tyres here and was keen to get some thoughts from the group.... I'm looking at some new tyres and was originally looking at the stock Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX (245/35/19") and when I've asked for a quote to get them replaced I was suggested the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (245/35/19") for about $500 each fitted/balanced. I dont have any experience with these tyres however I have seen some good write ups about them. Saying this, if I'm going to pay $500 a tyre, is there anything else in the price range which represent better quality/value? Ideas??

Hi Reg I will be in and will bring my boy along for the ride this time. I will pick up a CB on Saturday so will be kitted out for the drive. Timmy-Xr6t now in the Viper XR50T (sold the Octane FG-T)

hi guys - did anybody get any pics from the night?

Hi guys - occasionally when I am driving my FG the inbuilt screen turns off and appears to reset it self. By reset I mean that the little guy walks across and sits down (like I'm turning the car on from scratch) however their is no interuption to the music. Im figuring its not the backlight dropping out nor the sound system. Dont know enough about the config to make an informed decision. If it keeps going I'll take it back for warranty but the normal drill will apply - cant replicate an intermittent fault they are not going to fix it. Interested in your thoughts?
