  1. Hi guys - recently had my xcal3 updated when in for some more work on my car. Does anybody know what the recent update changes or fixes? I've been searching for any sort of version control or release notes to see what the actual changes are. Thoughts? Cheers, Tim
  2. Hi guys Had an issue today and yesterday. Was cruising on a highway about 110kph in 6th gear (auto). Hit a hill and went to accelerate up it and heard a "whoooo" (sorry best I can describe it) noise coming from front right of the car. Then power dropped right off and wouldnt change down a gear when I accelerated even when I changed to sports mode it was stuck in 6th gear. This was stuck like this for only about 5 - 10 secs in both instances and then came back to normal. Have also noticed the turbo side pipe to the intercooler is loose so not sure if this is related. Is this the car going into limp mode....any ideas? cheers, Tim

  7. Guys - are there any decent after market gear knobs for the ZF available. My car has just kicked over the 1 year mark and all the silver is rubbing off in the gear knob and looks quite sh*ty. I drive it most in manual mode but still you think ford could make something that lasts longer than that.
  8. I was under the bonnet the other week and spotted a red flashing light - turned out to be one of these devices - the dealer must have installed it - 1 year old and no rust it must be working lol
  9. stupid question but wanted to ask if you need to re-tune with just the IC piping done? I was looking at a herrod kit and will do the IC down the track but didnt want to end up in the middle of no where with a split pipe.

  11. Hi guys - just got my hands on a Plazmaman Air Muffler replacement for my FG turbo. If I fit this will I need to get it re-tuned? or is it just a straight bolt on and off you go? Any advice?

  13. Hi guys - I am sure this largely will be a matter of personal preference but any guidance as to what cooler I should consider. They are all **roughly** the same size and approx the same cost from what I'm looking at with Plazmaman, Rapids, PWR but not sure the best direction to go in. Current mods on my FG are Growler CAI, 100CPSI Cat & 4" dump, 800CC injectors & tune. Also what are the limitations of the standard cooler?
  14. From memory, I installed the app and it went through the install process, then a second install process kicked off, it looked more like an executable unpacking some files. Then I connected the xcal and and the standard windows driver install window came up, and I selected search for driver automatically (or what ever it said close enough) - it found the drivers and installed them ok. I would be looking to see if you can see any the driver files or directories and manually point the xcal to it when you plug it in. if not try and uninstall any instances you have of livelink, and then re-run through the install from the herrod website.
  15. hi mate - can you let me know if these are the rights values I should be logging on the xcal3 Under Environment: baro_press_cal map_v Under Speed Density map_v Not sure if I am looking at the right areas because I am seeing numbers from 12-50 on acceleration - is this normal?

  17. scratch that - I cant even go into the custom tune folder without it telling me about the failed download - looks like it will have to go back to stock and then back to custom - have put a call into my tuner just to double check - dont want to frack anything up.
  18. After my previous post. I've just checked in c:\program files\sct\ And I have a folder in there called \SCTDriversV1011 Try going into device manager and if you can see the XCAL as a device, go into to it, click update driver and try pointing at this directory - assuming you have it. I've got 3 files difxapi.dll wdapi_dotnet1011.dll wdreg_gui.exe Hope this help - if not I'm happy to email you these files and give it a crack.

I just installed this from the Herrod Website. http://www.herrodmot...61/Default.aspx It started installing the live link software and then afterwards it kicked off the device driver install so they seem to be bundled together. I plugged mine straight in and it recognized it and I've been logging data today without any issues. Good luck. Second Post: Just noticed you already had that link. Try uninstalling it and running it again. Otherwise *shrugs* I'm running vista and no issues here.
  20. got the same issue, wasnt keen to put it back to stock straight away so might start it up, let it run n charge the battery for a bit and then try to reflash. my x3 is only 2 weeks old and the car about 12 months old so hopefully things dont break that quickly.

  22. Looking for some help guys. I'm using an SCT X3 (PN# 3000AU) on an FG XR50T 2010 with LiveLink 6.4 I'm trying to manipulate some of the data logging I've done to see what PSI I'm running at various points. From what I'm told one way to calculate it is. 1. Convert map_volts to PSI by "map_volts - (2.45 / .17)" 2. Convert baro_press_cal to PSI "baro_press_cal * .14504" 3. Then calculate mapPSI subtract baroPSI I keep coming up with weird and negative numbers so there must be something I am doing wrong - either the calculation is wrong, or I am using the wrong source values. Appreciate any advice you have.
