  1. Had a bad experience with the repco/fuelmiser coil packs, had three of them give up over a period of time. Two I changed myself but was forced to get one changed when on holiday in Mildura. Made a warranty claim with repco and had the cost of labour and coil pack reimbursed to me. Gone back to geniune ford now and not a problem. You would think that a product bought from a company like Repco be better quality.
  2. Thanx maximus, I have been told that if I change the radiator at about the 90k mark I shouldn't have a problem. The radiators seem to have a problem after that. Regardless of what I've been told though,I am going to still run the cooler on it's own because it is a fairly good size.I'd still like to know if anyone has heard of this problem or it's happened to them.
  3. Hi everyone, I've got a stock 04 xr6 turbo.I have heard that the Falcons have been known to have problems with the radiators and the built in trans cooler. They supposedly splitinside and coolent gets into the tranny and you end up with an expensive repair bill. I've had an external cooler fitted, but my transmission guy recomended to still run the original cooler in the radiator as well.I dont think this will help. Will an after market cooler be sufficient on it;s own? Got a long trip coming up at Christmas and I want to make sure it will be fine. Any suggestions?
