On The FGs the Rear plate, the little plastic things that the screws go into can be pulled out of the bodywork pretty easy. I did the rear that way. With the front I stuck a knife behind the plate from the bottom and then turned the knife slightly, enough to get the top of the plate away from the bar, enough to get the little clips down. Just gotta play withem mate. Pete

Bathurst Boys.... if there are any, I came through Bathurst town today and caught the backend of a VE SS Late model camira but it was a Highway Patrol Car, it has all the markings but nothing like a NSW car but it also had an INTERCEPTOR sticker on the back of it with a big HF type Arial on the back. Anyone out there seen this around before ??? What I saw of it it looked pretty good. Couldnt workout if it was Legit or wat. Pete

Mate I am on the road all day pretty much and have had back pain down through my ass cheek into my leg, knee pain etc etc I can never get the seat right, remember the steering wheel pulls out to so you can sit back further to straighten the legs but still be close to the wheel, also try to be conscious not to allow your knee to rest outwards onto the door, this in normal driving shouldnt bother a person but on long trips every day it eventually causes issues... based on what I have heard anyway, dont quote me. The pedals are in a crap position as I end up with a sore right heal aswell. When will Ford bring back the footrest by the way, the footwell in these things is crap... Pete

Smicky do you have the contacts for the DBA 4000 Slotted jobbies ??? Prices ??? Are the 5000s available on Fgs ? Are they much better and how much ? I havent done any homework on these so thought I would ask you. Your still a maniac. Pete

Oh my bad my pads are the DS Performance not 2500s I stand corrected.. Even so they never showed signes of fade. though I also make use of the gearbox to wipe off some speed.. I would love bigger brakes but where does it stop with these things.. Pete

Mate I have standard rotors on my Fg with Ferodo 2500 Pads in the front with AP fluid, standard pads in the rear.. mate the thing does not stop braking its faultless and I work them very hard... Maybe give that a go as a cheaper then Brembo alternative. Pete

Hey I would like another if possible in plain white. I had one of the small ones but they dont last with high pressure hoses. I want a bigger one though, like 450mm by 50mm or something like that. Any chances of this ?? Pete

Fellas.. An uneducated question... If the BOV is blocked up then where is the air escaping ? And what is causing the Flutter sound ? Also Henz mentioned just removing a Vacuum Line off the top... Is this the one behind the part that has Turbo Intercooled on it on the Rocker Cover ? I want this sound.. Thanks Boys Pete

Hey AJJ, At the top of your engine, nearest the windscreen, on the back of the black part, labelled "Turbo Intercooled", there's a little tube that acts as a natural sort of blow off. If u take it off the nipple, you start to get the blow off sound, which is the turbine cutting up the excess air which isnt being recycled by that piping. Ive been told by several mechanics that there is no damage to the turbine, and if u want to get rid of the sound, the hose needs to be securely on the nipple. I found out about this when I got my car back from service. Sometimes they forget to reattach the little vacuum hose. Personally I quite like the sound, gives it a little bit of oomph when your driving. Ive been driving for a couple of weeks with the hose off, and whenever people hear it, they smile and comment on it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is this the one that goes into the Rocker Cover ? The little breather looking device with a tube that runs down to the intake manifold ? Pete
