  5. I have a click in my FG XR6-T clutch pedal. It's not the switches mentioned above, but in the spring on the top left hand side of the cluttch lever beside the pivot. It clicks just before the pedal returns to the stop - the small spring comes back over centre and clicks the plastic mount. It can be felt it as it moves if you are a contortionist. It goes away if sprayed liberally with silicon oil, but does come back. Just poor design. Pain in the a## to fix, small problem and tedious job with no access.

  7. Hi Davidald, I'm not saying this is the problem, but it sounds the same as an issue I had with my BF. It took me hours to find why the headlights would not work, not just one side, but both. When I went to the dealer for a new unit, they explained how common this is and advised Ford stock hundreds of blinker stalks for the BA/BF. The wires in the blinker stalk break just at the point where they exit the hollow in the stalk. There is a sharp edge on the plastic molding which rubs against the wire, usually the headlight power for the relay, and cuts the wire eventually with repeated right turn indication. It often starts intermitently before finally shutting down altogether.Just very poor design! I had to replace the blinker stalk as the wire was cut too short to repair. I think the cost was @ $127(?) trade for a new ratating unit. You can't buy just the blinker stalk and clip it back in, but have to buy the whole rotating unit with both stalks.I didn't bother with a second hand unit as it would possibly show the same wear. It's about a 35 minute job to replace, just be careful with the airbag unit and disconnect the battery first. I also carefully filed the sharp edge and faced it with hot glue to prevent a re-occurrence. Hope this helps.
  8. CAPA Performance at Berri sell a rear roof spoiler for the FG sedan, $140.00. See the link at: http://www.capa.com.au/accessories_ford.htm Regards, Converted
  9. My BF runs 19" 245x35 front +25mm, 19" 275x30 +40mm rear - no mods. But, there is a way to create control blade arm clearance for rims and tyres: I've been researching 20" with 285/295 on 20x10" rears for my new FG. The Control Blade arm can be spaced back by 10mm to make clearance for the 285/295 tyres on 10" rims with +38/40mm offset. Use a steel spacing plate on the join in the arm, cut to shape and drill for the 3 holes and replace wtih longer hi-tensile bolts. The yolk in the rubber eye at the front has to be moved over the same distance between the chassis studs - this keeps the arm in the same plane as original geometry. Elongate the innner slot by 10mm, and add a spacer to the outer slot with a large washer so the nut tightens up square on the stud. It would be better to make a steel spacer and tack weld it to the washer so it can't work loose. Or, fit Superpro front control blade bushes and and modify the locating ridges on the yolk bar off-set to suit - avoids elongating the mountibg holes.
