  1. I got a direct injection gas conversion put onto my G6ET 6 weeks ago and so far very happy with it. I'm not sure what the fuel economy is but it only costs me half as much as petrol. It costs me about $23 to fill gas tank (at about 45c per litre) and it gets me about 250ks around town. Heaps more than that on a trip. There is a noticeable difference in power when you drive it hard, but around town you would never know. The drop in power doesn't really phase me cos when I want power I just switch it back to petrol. If you are going to convert your car look into LIQUID INJECTION (just google it), I wish I had known about it before I converted my car to normal direct injection. Its being claimed you actually get more power than petrol!! As far as I understand its because the lpg is injected as a liquid, it converts back to gas as soon as its injected which cools the engine and hence more air into the engine. Ford are actually introducing liquid injection into all their dedicated gas range as of next year. Hope this helps!
  2. ha ha yeah I know I'm only mucking around too. If you can create team grandpa I can create team fluro wank pack!!!
  3. Congrats on the new ride pal. Ignore the grandpa comments, I'm 26 an I'm loving mine!! I reckon it shows maturity to be able to appreciate understated style.. Instead of a fluro coloured car with full wank pack!!
  4. Na not aftermarket mesh.. I'd more be after the mesh like a xr6t of f6 - though to be honest haven't really looked to hard into it yet. No way I'd put use the crap mesh like you get at autobarn...
  5. Yep I can confirm both those responses. Aerial is inside the rear glass, so both metallic tint and scrubbed windows can affect it. But generally only the limo tint (5%) is metallic... I've got the 17% on mine and radio reception is still fine. Dare I ask how much the fraud dealer stung you for tint? When I bought mine they wanted to charge me $600!!
  6. really?? Have you got the name of the company? I've very interested to look into it - though a bit late now!
  7. Yep LPG. After my last car (BA XR6) was duel fuel, I realised how much cheaper it is to run. With the new direct injection systems there is almost no loss of power and when you want power just switch it back to petrol! I drive my cars hard and always in performance mode, and my XR6 used to get about 230kms from a tank ($23) around town, and over 400km on a trip. Tell me your car gets mileage that good??!!!
  8. Hey guys, Just got my new ego G6ET a few weeks ago. So far its got tint, lpg and FG GT 19s.. Now I'm toying with either colour coding the grills or putting on new colour coded mesh grills. But I've noticed on the top right corner of the bottom grill there is a removable section.. Does anyone know what this is for? If I cover it permanently with a mesh grill will it be a problem??
  9. Cheers guys. Got the LPG done by ezygas. cost me $4350 (but you get $1750 back from the government which I am still waiting for). I wasn't really worried about loss of power on gas, cos I run on LPG when I want economy and just switch to petrol when I want power. I looked at a mob called alternative fuel innovations - they had a dual fuel typhoon at the melb motor show showing power and torque curves - only 3% loss in power!! But they wanted over 5 grand to convert. I haven't really run it on LPG much to know power or economy figures. I'm going to run the engine on premium unleaded for the first 3000k's first to make sure its properly run in first. Hey I'm new to this whole forum thing.. should I have started a new thread for my intro? or tacked onto one like I have?
  10. Hi guys! Picked up my ego G6ET with black interior prob 3 weeks ago brand new - June 09 build. Have done 1300ks so far and absolutely in love with it!! So far I've got ultra dark tint, FG GT 19's and LPG... Now looking at lowering it and changing to a mesh grill. Aiming to end up with my own version of the F6E - all the awesome power of the turbo 6 but keeping the looks understated... I'll try post some photos if I can work out how....
