  1. Hi everyone about time to service my 4 speed again and just wondering who has had it go pear shaped in factory form one mob has mentioned that the heat exchanger is prone to failing as are the plastic lines. the recommend and external cooler and changing the lines to BA type as they were steel. I know its prob a good idea but we dont do any towing and its my wifes car and she doesnt exactly drive it hard. would like to hear anyones experiences cheers Paul
  2. Hi Guys just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have a slight knock in the rear end of my auto BFII when I take off from stand still. this doesnt happen all the time. only sometimes. I can trace it to sometimes being after hard breaking to a complete stop. I have had one side of the rear brakes off (the side I thought it was coming from) and cleaned up excess dust and didnt see anything else. I've also had a crawl around and tried to nip up suspension bolts but everything seemed pretty tight. diff bush was changed at Fraud about 10k ago and looks ok. no cracks. could it be something else I missed suspension wise? shocks possibly (although I thought I would hear it more regularly) any pointers would be much appreciated. cheers Paul

  4. I thought 6 speed was an option? definately BFII with a 4 speed. as senna t mentioned still under warranty for a little bit
  5. cool will give them a call also, ive had it at thomson in parra seemed ok but maybe not helpfull enough.

I bought it privately but have taken it to my local dealer, they mentioned that they didnt notice it. typical response I guess. and no, its not modded. should I push them to go for a drive with me?? just wanted to see if anyone else experiences so I can go back to them with a bit of ammo, thanks for the info also

Hi Guys wondering if anyone can shed some light on my gearbox behaviour I bought our BF mkII xr6 about 5 months ago, and over time have noticed a strange thud/vibration when it shifts from 3rd to 4th. typically this happens when under load, doesnt have to be massive but if im pushing it a bit you really notice it. can really notice it when on the freeway. happens even when in manual mode and also when I turn traction control off. also can anyone recommend an auto rebuilder in sydney that I could possibly go talk to. has anyone else experienced anything like this. cheers Paul
