  1. Didnt realise there was a G6E vs F6 Rivalry? Only a newbie to the "Turbo" scene but took my BF2 F6 to the track (WSID) on Sunday. Only had a few runs before the rain set in but pulled a 13.2 @ 111.91 mph. Pretty happy with that as I was a 1/4 mile 'virgin' and car is stock except for a K&N filter. I have heard the G6's are very quick into the high 12's (12. so that's pretty impressive!. Not sure how much better the BF could do, possibly into the 12's? will have to try again. Either way, credit where its due to the FG's At the end of the day Im happy with the BF phoon and prefer the old shape to be honest
  2. Mine have only just started to make a racket but that's only after a track day and the rotors cant really be machined anymore.
  3. Hey all, thought Id be sociable and say gday. Ive had quite a few FORDS over the years inc XW , XY GT's, 82 ESP and 72 XA GT Coupe. I more recently picked up a ex dealer demo BF2 Typhoon in Lightning strike. Only option is leather but I love it. Completely stock except for KN filter atm. I drive it for work and have done a couple of track days.Seems it could definately do with some Bilsteins and sticky tyres though. The phoon goes great and I especially love how it silences most critics and those annoying Expensive Daewoo wanna be racers at the lights Cheers Brett
  4. I was considering the NSW ones but if the front are the same size as the back they would look lame. Definately wont bother
  5. My F6 is stock except for a K&N Filter. I can drive a couple of hundred kms a day highway, city traffic included. My average is around 10.9 - 12.9 except when its a long freeway drive then its around 9-10 or even less. I have noticed when the filter gets dirty it jumps up from the usual 11-12 per 100 to 13's, 14's. Obviously the turbo likes to breathe. Highest I ever showed was about 34L / 100!! after fanging it around Wakefield Park for a day
  6. Too funny! I guess If you did buy a flogged out ex cop car you want people to think its special somehow
  7. Whats so special about police mode? Can you turn one of the trip displays into a digital speed readout as well? Cheers
  8. Cheers, sounds like the R-spec is better than stock (or crap according to some) but Tein's are the best overall.
  9. My BF2 Phoon is stock but after a track day at Wakefield it could use something the firm it up a bit. Felt pretty floaty on the corners. Has anyone here with a R-spec done some circuit driving or can compare the 2? Thanks
