  1. Awesome job so far, love looking at the detail that people do on there cars. Really looking forward to the end result, thanks for sharing you hard work. Looks like it's going to pay off in the end from what I seen so far.
  2. Wow what a sad topic to read, I picked up my FG XR6T Ute 3days ago, love it to death so far but keep reading topics on this rear end problems on the ute, keep hoping this is not going to happen to me, but more I read the more ppl are getting problems. Kinda makes me feel like I have made a huge mistake swapping from a VY SS with not 1 thing gone wrong over the last 5 years, Well hope Ford wake up and fix these things in a hurry.
  3. Hmm wonder if this is true? anyone felt or seen a drop in fuel usage after the first service? This thread always cheers my day, cannot wait to get my beast and back off those ever rising fuel prices, I do loads of highway driving so fingers crossed I can hit around the 9 mark way better than the V8 that's hitting around 14L on highway, gotta love this turbo 6 engine, will post up my findings once I get it.
  4. IMO would go the 7" less bulky and when you sitting so close to it bigger is not needed, while I dont have the built in ones, I do have the 7" hang over version for the kiddy and its a perfect size and works well, save your money go 7"
  5. Just looking at the site, seen the Forum photo shoot before but didnt know there are so many picture on there, damn there some awesome pics, So far I like the First Lamo picture but not sure how to post it up onto the site as you cannot right click save em.
  6. hahah yeah that's always funny to see, my fav is the dudes with full stock motors on a wrx or 200sx that put on an intercooler that is bigger than their whole front end to try gain 100kw of power all to find the car now take 3months before it starts to build boost fxxking classic!!!
  7. Wow interesting thread to read indeed, First up sorry to hear about the car and glade to see you lived through it to be able to post about it on the forum and in some way educate alot of us who think driving fast on the streets is a joke (not saying you did) but it clearly shows that speed and roads dont mix. Im a believer that there are race track pay your money and enjoy a day out to see what your car can do in a safe environment without pole trees and most important innocent families around you. (not aimed at you vich just my thoughts on those who do speed on the road) While the car was paid for its still a huge lose of 30 odd grand, so hard luck and again another educating exercise that issuance is needed just a pitty this happen when you were changing insurance (from my understanding) + good comment from wookie about dont own a car that you cannot afford to insure (again not aimed at you turbovich) but to many others who think it will never happen to them. As for the comments about the car not looking so bad, my guess is that in one of his original posts he was talking about a huge ditch like 7m wide or something from the looks of the cars its rolled in the air slightly skimming the ground cause no major indents that you would expect from a roll that is not airborne and crumbling the car as it contacts the ground, regardless that car is in a bad state and the drive is very luck to tell his story. I think I was the only one who got your kinda joke of the phone is in the top right hand corner cause it was upside down LOL (not that this whole saga was a joke) Get well soon Vich.
  8. I guess for me, its cause you just splashed out 50 odd grand on the car I want them to fix it if it brakes, I would like to mod it but for 3years I want them to fix what brakes, after that I will mod and if it brake take it on the chin, but I dont want to take it on the chin when I know they can take it for 3 years LOL. Guess the fact is if you put on a few mods and the engine has major internal problems from factory and it blows a day after you are totally screwed for a new engine of 5 to 8 thou what ever they cost etc, I will rather be a few kw short for a few years and let them take the 8grand cost. I guess everyone is different, if you drive an Audi im guessing you aint short of money, it brakes you fix it easy if the banks accounts loaded but most ppl are trying to make ends meet and splashing 40 to 50 on a car has set them close to broke, everyones in different situations. that's me and that's why I try not to mod while in warranty and think brattatude is making a wise choice on not modding until after warranty, let ford fix it lOL.
  9. I love the bonnet, its the best looking thing, however as much as I love it, it just dont seem right to have it on a XR6T just makes me think of those try hards running around in pulsars or somthing like that with a WRX bonnet scoop. Each to there own and hope I didnt offend anyone who has had it done.
  10. Cool thanks for the reply Noiz, I just sent you a PM for the info. RedBack- im from Southwest sydney, do you do installs as a business? and if so what would u charge for supply and fit? cheers.
  11. Congrads Rhino, im getting a white one also, nice choice. Why was it months of bullsh*t? Ford totally blowing its estimated time frame? or just cause you cannnot wait for it?
  12. Congrads on the new car, enjoy it! I went to Ford looking for an 8, nothing no one told me would make me get anything else but an 8, was drawn to the car for its awesome inertia and ipod iteration and want a V8 that's it, not questions asked.... well that's until the dealer grab the keys to the FG FPV F6 and taken me for a spin around the block, my jaw dropped to the floor, jumped in for a run and while in third gear at about 50km or so put my foot down a little(not fully) and felt a God like power rushing as the turbo started to spool up sucking me into the seat like a magnet. it something else, now I have driven turbos before 2 Wrx's the first shape and the bug eye shape, but this thing is in a league of its own. Now my attitude is V what? LOL turbo 6 all the way.
  13. Man the Fg is a beast and a half of full cream dairy, damn that's quick for a stock car, was reading thunders post and thinking damn 13.2 from someone who has never ran before how good is that and then a 12.7 from someone who has (well im guessing he has?) this is just getting better and better, what a car!
