  1. I had the same problem that dastard is having on my 06 bf1 xr6t, ended up changing the TPS and it fixed it.
  2. Interesting, Those guys at Melbourne's cheapest cars seem to get a lot of Cop cars in there. I also bought a 04/10 XR6t from Melbourne's cheapest car's and got it shipped up to QLD for an extra 600. Very happy so far, easy to deal with all over the phone. They currently have another 2 listed for ~22k, they are selling them too cheap!
  3. Ah ok, Glad its not something that I could have caused, lol.
  4. Hey guys, I turned my 2010 XR6 turbo on this morning to find that there was a bit of a squeak coming from the engine bay, so I opened the bonnet to investigate and to my surprise I found that the pulley off of the water pump has gone missing. Is this a common thing? surely ford would cover this under warranty or are they likely to blame it on the wrong coolant lol? Thoughts?
  5. If you return the faulty product within 7 days of purchase you are entitled to a full refund as per consumer law. ref: http://www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au/business-consumer-guarantee-not-met.htm
  6. Hey guys, Its been a while since I've been on here but since selling my bf2 xr6t I've just felt incomplete, so I've managed to pick up an ex cop fg xr6 t for the right price, now let the mods begin .
  7. I've never had the plugs changed, was planning on doing it next service. Might have to do it sooner. cheers
  8. that's what I thought. Damn I've been driving the car for the last 2 days since it happened and hasn't done it since..
  9. Hey guys, Yesterday while I was driving to a mates place I was stopping at a traffic light and shortly after I had stopped the car began to what seem like it dropped a cylinder, so I pull over, let it sit there for a bit nothing happens still seems to be running on 5 cylinders, so I turn it off. I leave it for a couple min's turn it back on everything seems fine, take off slow down to go through a round-a-bout, same thing car feels like its running on 5 cylinders.. after pulling over again, turning it off and on and letting it idle for a bit I drive all the way home (20kms) with no dramas at all.. The strange thing is that the car didn't rev over 3500 rpm the whole trip. now from the research I have done valve float doesn't seem to happen unless the cars been driven quite hard?? It's a BF mk1 xr6t 6sp auto. Has anyone heard of this happening? or am I right in assuming its valve float? Thanks
  10. its not impossible to find one for low to mid 20's, mind you mine was a ex-Origin Energy car, I bought a 06/06 bf2 6sp auto, black, leather, premo sound, sunroof, 88k kms, 18s for 23,888. That was from a Dealer too! I was looking for awhile, but if they are desperate enough, it is possible.
  11. beautiful ute mate, love it.
  12. My tube was also metal. I didnt notice too much of a difference, although I have to agree, it did feel a lot smoother and seemed to rev alot easier, but again no real noticeable improvement in power.
  13. Congrats mate, they are amazing cars, I've had mine for about 3 weeks and im the same haha
  14. Hey all, Just purchased my first falcon ever! a 06/06 BF with sunroof, leather and premium sound. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a thread that outlines the basic mods for performance? thanks pleasure to be here.
