  1. Forget the liability factor.. more important factor is noise. I'd like to hear the noise difference between the two setups
  2. That one does look nice. More integrated. Not sure about buying from someone with zero feedback though.
  3. Welcome to the club.. don't listen to all people mocking them.. they're just jealous
  4. Why is everyone against this motor? It's going to be awesome. It's so much lighter and smaller that the handling will improve and the car will be just a quick as before. Having said that.. they've got a hell of a job replacing the 4.0T. The new V8 will be awesome too. Again lighter and smaller blah blah. Also, they're bringing the DSG gearbox in together with this.. mmmmmm
  5. Here's what I can gather from talking to the local Ford workshop. There is a kind of log of flashes done. It has the date and version of the flash. Normally when an ECU is updated by a dealer, the versions number goes up. So when it stays the same a few times they assume it's been tuned.

Well he's on top of the championship ladder now 2 poles in a row and 2 wins in a row.
  7. Talk to a mortgage broker.. a good one. Or an accountant if you have access to one. They'll tell you the best options for your situation. I would try to avoid putting the car on the mortgage though. 25yrs of interest payments on a car will add up. As for personal experiences, I got the house first and then a year or two later I got the car with a car loan. The year gives you enough time to build up some equity.
  8. Just shows how important it is to pick your salesman and dealership carefully. People underestimate how important that is. There's always going to be good ones and bad ones. If I was you I wouldn't worry about it now. You live you learn. Just check the car over when you get it. If there are any problems, such as scratches or dents, make sure you inform them and ask them how to go about getting it fixed.
  9. I've been saying "I told you so" for the last couple of months to all the Labor faithful. Even they're starting to realise that he got voted in on being flashy without any substance.
  10. That was either not me, or you're mistaken. I've never been in an emergency lane for any reason. I'm not saying I'm a good driver, but I've never done that. I have sometimes had 2 wheels just past the outside lane on roe hwy to see the traffic ahead quickly, but NEVER on the emergency lane side.
  11. get "Keep Left"
  12. Come to Perth and you can do mine! I'm dying for details on this mod. Someone give this guy a car already!
  13. I agree with turbotrana.. the dual piece tail shaft allows for higher top speeds. Exactly why most of the E series were limited to 180km/h.
  14. I have this problem also.. I'll be getting them to fix it at my next service. Thanks for all the ideas.
  15. You've gone in the wrong direction.. I went from an Aurion Sportivo to a G6ET... I believe that's the right direction.
  16. A good dealer makes all the difference. That's why I bought my car where I did. Good to hear your problem is solved
  17. In mine, I can adjust the volume. It's a setting in the menu. Look around in the menu and you'll find it
  18. I've left my G6E Turbo for 7-12 days without starting it three times since I bought it. No problems at all. It really is a shame that quality control is crap in Australia and the odd lemon gets through.
  19. yeah that's me... and that is highly unlikely. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been in that lane when I shouldn't be
  20. I'm with sasgamo.. and that's why I have one
  21. That's what I need as well.
  22. Sweet. Looking forward to doing mine now.
  23. What LSD did you have fitted Smackers?
  24. The FG heads flow better.. suspension's better.. the list is apparently quite long. The only way to settle this is on the track.. Count me in on side G6ET
