Anyone care to comment on the noise levels of the assys? I've heard rumours that once worn a little the noise levels are high.

It's actually 90km/h or greater. They trialed making the rule regardless of speed, but the cops said it was unenforceable.

lol GPW. Once a week I get stuck behind someone who will almost cause accidents to get into the right lane and then go 30km/h under the limit once there.

When on auto, it doesn't blow hard enough on the 30deg+ days. I just put it on recirculate air and that usually makes it blow harder and colder. If that's not enough you can always turn the fan up yourself and put the temp lower. I think any update Ford make would just software that makes the auto setting work better rather then actually changing any parts.

Ford's view is that the ZF is "sealed for life" from factory and doesn't need oil changes. I've heard of people getting the box strengthened due to tuning and I think from memory they're using royal purple oil? Don't quote me though as I'd search for the particular threads but it's not working at the moment.

Took my dealer half a day to find the problem. Then they said they need a full day to fix it as the dash has to come out.

Just dropped mine off now. I'll ask them what they did to fix it when I pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

This problem just started for me last night! I haven't received a recall letter though. Thanks for the recall code, might speed things up if I tell them what to look for.

Completely agree. It's the worst standard stereo I've had in any car I've owned and this is the most expensive car I've had by far. It's also the hardest to fix as there's no RCA pre-outs.

There is definitely a hiss the standard "premium" head unit. If that's what you're using for the input then I'm betting that's what it is. I'm waiting for someone to do the BA/BF RCA pre-out mod for the FG unit before doing any stereo mods to my car.

FYI: $412.50 is cost price for WA Although, like everything computer related it's cheaper over east and WAY cheaper from overseas. Just depends on freight costs.

bmw have now swapped from a twin turbo to a single turbo with some of this turbo tech we're talking about here on their 3L 6cyl engines. More power, less lag and less emissions apparently.

Why would you get rid of it? Kids, dog, whatever.. won't hurt it. Just clean it more often.. little bits more often and she'll stay looking great inside and out.
