Regarding the tyre thread: There's a couple of minor rules and procedures that might take a little time due to the easter break. I need the tyres pretty soon so I don't want to risk dragging it out. Therefore any potential group buy is off. Sounds like everyone is getting them off the same series of containers that are rocking up at that time. I'm getting the same response from everyone at this stage. Expect about $500 each to Perth.

Alright here's the plan I'll ring around all the suggested places on Monday. I'll see if any of the places will do it and then get pricing. Afterwards I'll ask on the forum if anyone else wants them to see if we can get a deal and save on shipping.

Finding them isn't the problem, it's getting them shipped to Perth. No one wants to do it. Maybe they think I'm dodgy or something?

I've lost track of how many places I've asked regarding getting Nitto tyres delivered to Perth. I've tried both the US and eastern states, but still can't find anyone. I even tried Nitto direct :\ Does anyone know where I can get these tyres here in Perth? Surely I'm not the only one after these tyres. Specifically I'm after 2x Nitto Invo 245/40ZR18.

None available yet. The FG headlights are more difficult to take apart and put back together properly so it's taking the usual suspects a little longer to work it out.

So where can you order these tyres from?

That's been disproven in court. Guy got caught doing 105km/h in a 60km/h zone in osborne park after the last turn off on the ramp to freeway south. There's only about 50m to the 100km/h sign with no pedestrian traffic allowed and no driveways and no cross roads. He went to court and the judge said too bad. He was done by a motorbike cop though. That was also before the hoon laws and crap.

No need to panic yet. Just wait until you get the fine. Last fine I got was way lower than my actual speed indicated by the gps.

CyanideIllusions, twin 3" is fine and won't hold you back at all. Everyone thought it was a single 3", hence the confusion.

The less deposit you have, the more LMI you pay. The amount goes up exponentially as well so every extra dollar of deposit goes a long way. Pros of building: Easier to get exactly what you want. Usually more equity faster. Cons: Available land is usually further away from main areas such as CBD. You have to pay the mortgage for the land purchase and construction loan for as long as it takes until your house is ready.

Yeah only use guarantors if you can't get a loan otherwise. Also, try and get 20% deposit as then your loan costs are thousands of dollars cheaper. No lender's mortgage insurance for a start!
