  1. There's more sh*t salesman and service managers then good ones. As they're harder to find, once you find them you stick with them. Only reward the good ones (repeat business, referrals etc) and never give the sh*t ones any business at all. Simple.
  2. Also, I tried a few different hardware adapters. Now using the Scantool.net OBDlink. It has a sleep mode built in so I can just leave it plugged in without draining the battery. http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters Also, forget the slimline stuff, just pop the white OBD plug out from the socket and push it out. There's a little clip on each side that will pop out easily using a key. Then you can have it all plugged in with your fuse box shut.
  3. Using torque pro here. If you go in to the settings and add a "predefined PID set", you can select Ford. It makes a lot of extra PIDs available to you. There's a couple of different transmission temp ones.
  4. Love the look of that wagon. We're not getting them until next year. Australia is last on the list.
  5. ^^this^^ Costs a couple of dollars. Use a broom stick to put it up there, then a coat hanger to get it out.
  6. I've had this problem fixed three times under warranty already. They just keep breaking over and over.
  7. Not surprised. Mine first went at 10kkm. They're weak as piss. Just part of the annual service since then.
  8. KA is only for multinova. Escort's range is great for them. Just turn off x band as it's not used. The new Vitronic Poliscan is laser based so needs jamming as when you've detected it, it already has your speed.
  9. People not keeping left. I mean seriously, just move the f*ck over. How hard is it?
  10. Here's my list of problems fixed under warranty: Climate control in passenger side footwell broken twice. Only cold air blowing from that vent. Ambient air temperature sensor 10-15 degrees off. Made climate control blow too hot all the time. Diff bushes after 20000km. Lived with it for a while, then fixed under warranty, then broken again like 2000km later. Driver's door hinge broken. Glovebox opening no longer smooth. Got stuck once and I broke the clip trying to open it. Front discs warped creating brake shudder at 100km/h+. Water dripping from driver's side footwell aircon vent. Driver's window kept winding down even though it was all the way down until the motor burnt out.
  11. If someone can send me the standard cd contents or whatever it is, I'll see what I can do about updating them. There's only 2-3 different map providers for Australia/NZ so it shouldn't be too hard.
  12. I want a turbo wagon. I f*cking hate SUVs and I don't understand why people buy them to drive only on tarmac roads.
  13. I also recommend "ClicOn" phone holders. http://www.coastvoip.com.au/shop/cradles-and-dashmounts-c-48.html Just completes the experience
  14. Bought this game.. now just need to find time to play it. Don't like to start playing unless I know I'll have at least an hour...because it always ends up being 2 hours.. then 3.. etc lol
  15. To everyone whinging about faulty obd adapters; it's all explained here: http://torque-bhp.co...etooth_Adapters Edit: 1600dave is correct. Unclip the odb plug as it has a decent length cable on it. That way you can plug the adaptor in to it and have the sender/receiver and most the cabling neatly hidden away behind the kick panel under/behind the fuse box.
  16. Torque is an awesome app. Been using it for over a year. I'm using the scantool OBD2 bluetooth adapter. It goes to sleep when not being used so you can leave it plugged in all the time and leave it hidden behind the dash without draining the battery. Does anyone have any custom PIDs for our Falcons? Some of the generic Ford ones don't work on our cars.
  17. One more thing.. I'd recommend doing the maths (of getting the account to do the maths) to see whether a chattel mortgage, hire purchase or lease will save you the most amount of tax. There's plenty of options out there for finance. Ask any dealer or bank or search on the net for a vehicle finance broker.
  18. Dude.. get an accountant. You don't want to be making mistakes about stuff like this as the ATO is a major pain in the arse. The summary is: If you're doing a lease then you can claim the complete repayment. If you're doing a loan or chattel mortgage then you can only claim the interest component of every repayment. They usually use the rule of 72 to work out how much that is. Of course you can only claim the percentage you use it for work, like 90%. You need to have at least 5 consecutive weeks of complete log books (every single tiny trip) that is then used to work out the actual percentage of business use.
  19. Invos.. nice. I'll be interested to see what you think of them on your tuned car as mine's stock standard.
  20. Agreed on all the comments about houses. If you can get someone you know inside the company to keep an eye on things it's always much better. You get a decent supervisor and decent tradies. Then everything turns out great and runs like clockwork. Owner building takes up a lot of time. If you can be out making money in that time, you have to work out if it's worth it.
  21. I can vouch for Gemmill Homes. 2 houses done by them and was looked after in every possible way.
  22. Floorboards are easy. Did the olds place with my dad. If you at least lay them yourself you can get a pro to do sanding and finishing.

    Nitto

Invo for road, NT05 for track or "hardcore" ppl lol Great tyres!
  24. Same problem here. Ford say "no problem". This week I'm going away and leaving the car there for a week and saying "fix it or else"
  25. spotted "ads turbo" on roe hwy about 9pm
