  1. Unless you are loaded I dont see why you would buy new at that price. Buy a low k second hand example and put the saving towards some Mods or if you want to keep it stock put it towards something else like a Holiday or whatever takes your fancy....... Having said that I dont have $54000 spare so letting someone else lose a shedload before I buy is a better option although others may be ok with that. Another option is spending the same sort of money as the new XR6T and getting an FG F6 with low ks like this. Personally I think that makes more sense than a new XR6T for the same money........... Clicky FG F6..............
  2. Yeah they rolled the Guards for free when fitting the wheels. Im thinking I need to get some SSSLs in the rear and SLs in the front though as currently has SSLs rear but sits to high IMHO.
  3. ^^^^^ Agreed
  4. Didnt see it but it sounds like he is just saying what a lot of us are thinking. Sad but Australia isnt what it used to be or should be. I live in Wollongong and have the misfortune of going to Sydney most days for work and lately ive been thinking about pissing off and moving out to the Country as im not sure I want my Daughter growing up around here.
  5. This one is from the Final round of the V8s at Oran Park last year. Again done off a JPEG image.
  6. This was my first ever attempt a few years ago. I liked the original photo but the HDR brought it out much nicer IMHO. This was done off a JPEG image with the exposure adjusted in Photoshop then I did the merging on Photomatix. Original...... HDR
  7. Interesting to see if it does reach production.
  8. You said he took the kid to its mothers on Christmas day so why cant she have the kid full time if you report him to Docs for being a piss pot that drives around with his son when over the limit?
  9. That is an awesome setup you have coming along there SPIKO. Cant wait to see the end results.
  10. That looks mint mate. The Hiro's look good but I can imagine they look way better in the flesh than in a Photo like mine do too. Its more the extra width of them and how they fill the guards that looks the goods. Dare I ask how much the Brembos where worth??
  11. Ok time for an update.... I fixed the oil leaks yesterday. I simply undid the 2 screws that hold the seals in and removed them by sliding a small flat blade screwdriver in behind them. I then put a light coating of Permatex Ultra Blue silicon sealant around the outside of the sealing area and slid the seals back in and did the bolts back up. I drove it to Sydney and back today and no more oil leaks. Simple fix
  12. Yeah mate from Tempe.
  13. There AXIS HIRO's and the package of wheels, tyres and locking nuts etc was $2000 fitted. that's with Kumho Ecsta tyres not a complete no name brand.
  14. Pics are at Bass Point at Shellharbour. The Yellow plates are going I just need to decide whether to get random numbers and letters or order something I want. Cant really think of any combination that I want to pay for.
  15. I have been after some new wheels for awhile as I wanted to get some fatter rubber under the back as the poor ol 245s struggle to get the power down as all of you would be too aware. So I got some staggered fitment Axis Hiros that are 8.5 inches wide at the front and 9.5 at the rear. They have 245/35/19s front and some 275/30/19 rear. They worked.......Traction is much better. The spoke design means the dont look as big as the old wheels I had but the extra width filling out the rear makes it look much better in the flesh.
  16. I went up last year with my mate in his Blown Small Block LJ Torana and doing laps torching the rear tyres is pretty awesome.
  17. Nah the quickest GT-R in the world was at Willowbank a few years ago with a 7.57 from memory Its a 13B Turbo and I cant remember the exact time but in the 8's
  18. Besides the fact I could not afford a new blown 8 I reckon it would be a good thing if it actually happens. However I would wait 2 years for some other poor schmuck to lose %50 of the purchase price before I got a bargain.
  19. Some more.... Best paint job of the day. Check out the size of this Turbo  Good spot for the Blower?? One of the best teams there IMHO There Original car that did a 6.5 second pass This is there new car that is driven by Ben Bray. I didnt know he was getting into this team but the 6.7 sec pass was up there with the gold car on its early passes. Ben Bray's other car. Burn out during an oil down
  20. Pics from last Fridays qualifying out at the mighty WSID...... Blacktown at 40 degrees and 95% Humidity sucks..... Twin Turbo Chev powered Mustang......... Some smoke before nailing an 8.2 second pass.
  21. They look nice XR09. So many choices I just want to get it right first time.
  22. Nice mate nice ! I need to lose the ugly yellow plates as well.
  23. What can be said that hasnt already been said. At least they didnt hurt any innocent bystanders whilst being complete knobs.
  24. No choice on the red lip as that is how they come...... I wonder if its just a sticker that can be peeled off? I did some ringing around to see what other wheels I might be able to get in staggered fitment and these Speedy Cheetahs are availible at St George tyres in same sizes. There a few hundred cheaper than the Hiros as well. I reckon they would look good also. Its starting to do my head in
  25. Busy getting into Season 14 of Top Gear
