I had the same deal. I had an R32 GTS-T until last year and when the Missus got Pregnant it was XR6T time. I miss the Handling and Looks of the Riceline but the Falcoon makes the power so easily it is stupid. Oh and nice S15 mate

Yeah you have to wonder if the phone call was that important to risk stopping right next to vehicles traveling at 100ks per hour. Unless his car was broken down and he was calling the NRMA then it isnt a great idea. I drive a Heavy Vehicle as well and to be honest some of the things I see on a Daily basis amazes me. Some drivers have no idea. There are quite a few rest areas along the M7 where he could have pulled off the road to return the call. Sad but avoidable as well. (even if car was broken down you should get out and stand behind the arnmco fence for your safety) I was unloading my Petrol Tanker today at a Servo in Smithfield when some asshat gets out of his car taking a deep draw on his cigarette right next to the Hoses so I get up him and he just drops it on the ground and steps on it and shrugs his shoulders. If people arent concerned about burning to death in 40,000 liters of petrol I guess using a phone next to a Motorway wont bother them either.

When I bought the XR6T I looked around to buy a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 wagon as I reckon they look wicked (that's where Expensive Daewoo got the VE wagon style from anyways) but unfortunately they hadnt dropped in price enough for me to be able to afford one. The ford wagon looked ass anyway so if they cant be bothered trying to compete with the Commodore or the SRT-8 wagons it says a lot IMHO. Think back to the 70s and the Ford 2 doors XA - XB and XC looked way better than the HQ Monaro ever did and swallowed massive rubber under the ass. Expensive Daewoo Brings out the Monaro again in the 90s to great reviews and fanfare and once again Ford couldnt be assed to compete with it let alone put it to shame like they did in the 70s. Shame that the Ford Australia bosses cant see that having a Halo car helps sell more base models. (and no an ugly as sin EL GT isnt a Halo car) Rant over........

A Daihatsu Sirion GTVi Production Car laps Bathurst faster than a Phase 3 GTHO did. If they did Build a new GTHO they need to focus on reduced weight (lighter seats, wheels and glass etc) Serious Brakes and suspension and more power for bragging rights and not focus on more options.

With the K&N filter on my Process West kit you can hear the turbo spinning for at least 30 seconds after shutting the car down even if its only been idling. Sounds cool IMHO

If you stall it up in 2nd and dont change back to first when you take your foot off the brake does it fall off boost or launch maintaining boost? (I would go try it now but ive had too many beers)

The Baby that died was only 2 weeks older than my Daughter (she's 10 weeks) and after seeing the babies picture on the news it made me question if it was worth chasing that asshat given the possible outcomes. Maybe im reading what your saying wrong but 12.5:1 is leaner than 11.5:1 and 10.5:1 is richer than 11.5:1.

Have seen a few E36s with 2JZ Turbos in them and the motor wasnt slanted so it is just a matter of getting out a tape measure and seeing if it will fit.

Something like a AC Cobra Replica would be a weapon but to me it is one of those cars that should just have a V8 in it for the sound and image factors.......

The 240Z is lighter and Shorter than a 260Z and the 280Z is heavier again and Ugly as well. A XJ6 and the VL are both lighter than an XR6 Turbo so not that bad a problem there. Another thought I had was an XP Coupe with a BF XR6T motor and ZF 6 speed with a 9 inch.

Datsun 240Z for something that Handles ....... Jaguar Series 1 0r 2 XJ6 for something to cruise in and surprise everyone when you smoke them...... VL Calais to piss off the Expensive Daewoo boys ....... BMW E30 or E36 325 for something that Handles and embarrasses M3's ...... These are just a few of the ideas ive had for a conversion and all would be made easier by the fact that there all factory inline sixes.

Good stuff it isnt as hard as some people have said. Easier if you cut down a spanner to suit and remove the oil filter.

Had the same thing with mine. Coils where gone so I bought some new weapon X coils and thought it makes sense to put new plugs in at same time..... NGK Iridiums in and it did exactly what you are saying. Go fine one time then pop and fart the next mainly at higher RPM. I thought the coils where Dodge and after a few phone calls I went and got some plugs from Ford and it has never done it again.
