I agree I wouldnt pay 30k for an ex chaser. Mine was $22000 with 60,000 ks ex chaser BF in 2008 when 18 months old. 30 is way to close to what a low k private car is.

Ive been thinking about getting a 4.8 liter Patrol but from what I can gather they only come in Auto? If that's the case does anyone know how strong the Auto is and whats it like to 4WD with compared to the manual. Cheers.

Im wondering why you didnt drive straight beck into the tuner and ask what is going on? However with that power it should feel way faster. When mine had 280 it made a stock one feel like a nugget.

Rab there are a heap of Tutorials on youtube etc on how to do it. Google it also. I use a program called photomatix. You should have three images from the same point in three different exposures. one normal, one overeposed and one underexposed and then you merge all three images together it will depend on how much over and under they are with how dramatic the effect is. You can also do it off a single image (as my 2 above where) by adjusting the levels on photoshop before merging the images. Does that make sense??

About an hour or so including cutting down a spanner. Did he remove the oil filter to do it? That frees up a lot of room.

Cash saved from working long hours. Paid cash for car and all mods. I made a decision years ago never to get credit again except a house loan. Credit cards , 6 months interest free etc are all farked IMHO. Id rather drive a 180B than owe someone for a fancy car. As for borrowing to do mods that is not a good idea at all IMHO. My mate had an R32 GTR and when the motor blew he bought a built piece of art from japan for $40,000 ......ALL ON CREDIT !! That was a very big WTF moment for me. he paid 26 for the car then that so he owed $66,000 on an R32 GTR

My Mate has them on his track car (R32 Skyline with an LS1 in it) and have been used heaps on the circuit with no problems.

Cant wait to see more once you start getting it sorted. This sort of project is the kind of thing 99% of us can only dream of. What sort of RPM will it rev too once tuned fully on race fuel?

Yep change your O2 sensor I had the same cold start idling issues.

A Bottle of Nulon? About a 15 flat I think......
