Well guys, over the weekend the window cables ended up snapping, causing the window to break off its tracks and pop up out of the door. Luckily it didnt go any higher or I would of been up for a new window. If you ever here crunching noises, dont use it, lesson well learnt;)

Hey everyone, I recently got my aftermarket headunit and splits professionally installed. Ever since there seems to be a problem with my electric windows. The drivers side window seems to 'free fall' and make a clicking noise when its almost completely down on its way 'down'. If that makes sense. It seems to only do it when I first turn the car on, and is fine after that and is fine when on its way up. Any advice would be great. It is a BA XR6 cheers. Nic

Hey everyone, I own a 2005 BA MkII XR6 non turbo and have no front lower grille, I could of swore seeing one when it was first bought. Did they not come out with them, or has it gone missing some how? Always been curious to know as im looking at getting one anyway. Nic

I am now swaying towards the center muffler removal. How would it go if I got a 2.5 inch system, and removed the center muffler with hotdogs? Would that make any difference from keeping the standard XR6 BA n/a exhaust and removing the muffler? Any more advice anyone? cheers

Hey guys Been looking around for an exhaust system for my xr6 ba n/a. Had different advice from different places across the gold coast. I am after a nice loudish sound but not over the top. Some say cutting off the center muffler and adding a hot dog will sound like sh*t, some say different. Some say ill need pacemakers and hiflow cat whereas others say they are not needed and just trying to cough money out of me. I have been told to go with a 2.5" system with 2 new mufflers and tips which is about $600, and go from there if by addung pacemakers and hiflow cat later. Will I get anything out of this? I am mainly after a nice sound over the power at the moment. What would you guys recommend to achieve what I want? What are the x-forces and redback exhausts like? Where would you recommend on the Gold Coast? Thanks again.

Alright thanks for the help guys, doesn't sound like it's a good idea. I got 2 and a bit years left until opens and it'll be risking it if I drove around with a turbo, even though I would like to! Might just swap whatever I buy for the N/A to the turbo when it comes to the time. Cheers guys

I got the idea from another forum of a guy doing it when he was on his P's. I originally was going to upgrade straight away to a turbo as soon as I was off my P's, now that I may need a ute I thought save trading it in again, just go straight to turbo and remove it.

Is it a hard job to do? What's the process involved?

Hey guys I currently have a N/A BA XR6 sedan and may need to trade it in for a ute for work. I am on the P plate laws (no turbos, v8, 200kw+) and looking at getting a XR6T ute, removing the turbo and putting it back in when I'm off my P's. How difficult would this be and is it a big job to do? What $$$ am I looking at in additional parts etc?

While we are on the topic. My mate has a 2001 2.7L trayback Hilux manual and reckons it will beat my N/A auto mk11 XR6 anyday? Both are stock, he seams to think autos are slow are useless.. what you guys think?

Got done today by just your average undercover blue commodore. He sat at the bottom of a hill and got me for 66 in a 50 zone. Dont care about the fine, I just want my 3 out of 4 points back.

Thanks guys for the input. Dont think I will be going with any performance mods now as I should just wait and upgrade once im on my opens. I dont have much understanding on cars yet, I was more into boats till I got my licence, so all the hi cat flow/dump pipe/headers is still all a bit confusing for me. Haha Ben, I've tried, whats the go? Foot on break and accelerate away? Wish mine was manual Mastika, I just never had a manual car to practice in, but from my understanding the tiptonics are just as good?

Hi everyone, been on the forum for a while, just never posted. I just bought my first car. It is a 2005 BA XR6 non turbo:(. I am looking to do a few mods to it and need some advice. 1. I am looking at getting some 19 or 20 inch rims with some lowering springs. What would be a good size spring to go with? Low, Super Low, Ultra Low's? And roughly how much will I pick these up for including fitting? 2. I want it to sound nicer and louder, I don't know if you just need extractors or a whole new exhaust or what. Please tell me what you would recommend and isnt too much $$$. It is only tiptonic Auto, will it still sound good ? 3. I will be converting to an aftermarket head unit so I can have iPod connect and premium sound. I will most likely replace all the speakers and add a sub or two. Are the ICC fascia holders on eBay any decent? 4. I might even consider one of those tuners what you download to your ECU. Will these work on non-turbo's and will it give me much more power. I cant exceed 200kw because of P plate laws. Are they worth the price? It will be greatly appreciate if I can get some knowledge about the above or any other suggestions will be great, engine wise or not. Nic
