  1. If you want an injector with factory like compensations and easy to tune go for Nizpro. You can't beat the crispiness and economy. Downside, you don't like redrilled.
  2. what about the output to control wastegate solonoid?
  3. Thanks for the compliment berzerker. It only dropped about 10-15mm all around.
  4. Here is mine on 20's. I don't know what wheels they are because I bought the car with them on. I have used lowered kings on the front and ssl on the rear. It does not scrub or anything unusual. Cost me about $ 250 to do myself.
  5. I agree to many k's on the clock for modding it now.
  6. If you're getting anywhere from 350-450km to a tank that's normal for these things. So don't stress if that's the case.
  7. Changed from a 2007 Volkswagen Passat TDI 135KW. I was after something with a little more power.....now I got it with the fuel bowser that comes with it.lol. I was getting close to a 1000km to a tank with the VW....
  8. Hey Guys, Put me down as well please.
  9. Thanks for that, it clears things up.
  10. There are two gounds, one ignition and the signal wire on the sensor. Just use a multimeter to work out which are the earths and which is the ignition that will leave you with the signal wire.
  11. Lets just say the term 'you get what you pay for' applies to tuning as well. I wont go into detail on the forum but I will say I am not happy just having a car tuned for WOT only. Yeh your better off letting someone do the actuator unless you're willing to remove the turbo and have the wastegate done as well. I just done the valve springs and that was a mission as well.
  12. Well I think the engine will now be able to put out some high 300 figures with some boost behind it, but I dont think its is going to be safe for the engine or the auto. I think I will leave it at about 350-360 and even that will be pushing the auto. It is going into Tunehouse on Tuesday as I know I will be more satisfied with Jim's tuning. It sucks not being able to give the car a gut full. Not only will it run lean but I have put a 12psi actuator on and the boost will go over 20psi so I have been driving like a nanny. I will let you know how the cooler holds up and what the tuners feedback will be.
  13. UB CAI intake by Plazmaman. The induction noise is unreal!
  14. Hey Jasol looks good mate. I got an under battery CAI off Plazmaman and I wanted to get rid off the crossover. I ended up getting the top pipe off his stage 1 kit and cut a piece off the original HDI pipe to make it fit. He also welded in a tube on my HDI pipe so I can relocate the blow off valve. Cost about $ 100 all up.
  15. Just done the valve springs on my BA using the ATOMIC valve spring removal tool. Apart from the tool making life easier so was the service, advice and help form Brad at Atomic. Considering I didn't even buy the valve springs off him he was still willing to share in his knowledge and advice on how to get the job done. Ocassionally you come across someone that is really nice and doesn't want your wallet, Brad from Atomic seems to be that person. So even though he's not a sponsor and might not see this, thank you.
  16. Hey Jasol, I just pulled my turbo off to do the wastegate and actuator mod. It is a very tight area to work around and not to be attempted unless you have some decent tools, uni joints, extensions etc. I reckon getting the little circlip off the wastegate arm would be a *beep* on the car. I have heard of others doing it on the car but it will be a very tedious job.
  17. Turbo and exhaust will go back on today. BTW Is the dump pipe easier to get in from the engine bay or from underneath?
  18. TURBO4LT you are correct about the atomic tool. $50 to hire out plus the cost of the tool upfront as a bond. Should make life easier. Thanks for that!
  19. Yeh that heatshield is a prik. The way I got it off was I took the two rear studs out as opposed to undoing the bracket.
  20. Just took my turbo off in preparation for the wastegate mod. Did anyone come across a lower bracket that goes onto the engine mount?
  21. Thanks F. I'm thinking of using their springs anyway depending on price, so I'll ask them about the tool as well.
  22. Hey Guys, I was wondering if someone has an on head valve spring removal tool I can borrow/hire? Failing that is anyone willing to go halves in an Atomic tool? I am located in Sydney. Thanks.
  23. Have you changed your fuel filter recently? Could also be a blocked cat or stuffed coils, depends on what you describe as jerking, is it missfiring?
  24. I've got a BA MKII. My valve springs are holding out with no sign of valve float at 320rkw and the engine is making this at 13psi. C&V reckons it is a strong motor and has more potential. It is an 04 2005 model and I heard that they went to BF internals in 05 2005. How do I know if they might have used a BF motor. Is their any identifying marks on the engine that will tell you if it is BA or BF?
  25. How do you work it out mathematically? I have been told that exhaust gases flow around the outside of the pipe?
