    E-Bay

This is the kind of thing I'd only buy as a pick up only. Simple job of pulling of the sump and checking to see if it has had rods and pistons done.
  2. Mate it doesn't matter which side it goes on but you need to have the adapter to place it in. Ask alex to make you a small pipe with the adapter welded in and then splice one of your silicon hoses and fit it in series.
  3. Well the Nizpro kit has the boost sensor attached to the throttle body reducer pipe that is used for their plenum as in their diagram in the instructions. The plazmaman kit has the boost sensor mounted on the cold side pipe that goes from the outlet of the intercooler to the silicon connector that goes under the headlight. If you do not have this you need to have a boost sensor boss welded in somewhere in your pipes.
  4. What are you guys talking about? If I'm not mistaken this guy said he has a 4" intake and battery relocation kit?????? WTF has the air intake to the turbo and the battery relocation got to do with the boost pressure sensor fitted on the UBP going to the factory cooler????????? Mika are you also fitting an intercooler kit as well or do you have the factory cooler?
  5. power steering cooler.
  6. Why would you need to move the boost sensor if you're only fitting the intake and battery relocation. The boost sensor sits on the factory intercooler pipe.
  7. You guys are aware that you can pull the idler pulley off and repack the bearing with a bit of grease or squirt some oil in the bearing. This costs you $ 0.00 and will last you probably another 50,000kms +. As long as the bearing cages or balls haven't worn they have simply dried up a bit. Just pry the bearing seal up using a small driver and repack.
  8. I'm truely glad/proud I have grown up in and call Australia home! No wonder the poor Indians want to come here too...I would want to get away from that as well.
  9. I think we were just being a bit too critical with it mate. I wish you the best of luck with it as it will probably turn out to be a great car mate. Keep as updated of any mods or news about it
  10. If you mod it your warranty will probably go in the bin anyway. Also if it is one of those aftermarket warranties you might as well throw it in the bin the as well. Apart from that you may have scored a decent car but be aware that these guys punish these things and drive them hard. Just the other day we drove past a cop parked on the side of the road. He had somehow managed to ride over a massive curb to sit the car up on there. I would never abuse the car like that to get it up and over something, however, they don't care it's not theirs?
  11. As a consumer you cannot be forced to purchase a particular product to replace an OEM one. It's your choice to use what ever brand you like. Would you spend say $ 700 on that factory cooler? The fact that you have chosen to replace your factory intercooler (which got a hole in it from something flying into it at high speed??) with an aftermarket replacement is your choice. As long as it doesn't affect emissions, take away from the vehicle structual integrity or mess around with the vehicles safety.
  12. Yeh it should be good mate otherwise it would of given you an error or told you it's married.
  13. Yeh plug it up and scan down to vehicle info. it will tell you if its married or not.
  14. If you ran the generic tune on it then it works.
  15. valve springs will not alter your air fuel ratio or ignition mate. You don't need a tune.
  16. generally larger pipe will make more noise and drone so a 4" will be your loludest. However, if you use a 4" dump and 3.5" xforce system with a straight through rear muffler I think you'll find what you're after.
  17. I have an 05 BA . When I had similar mods you're talking about I made 318rkw on CV DYNO. My valve springs at the time held. However if you don't want to waste money on the dyno, replace the valve springs before you tune. A set of Atomic springs are about $350. You can hire their tool to change them yourself, otherwise you need a mechanic to install them as they are a fiddly job.
  18. Mate just use the NGK. Almost every high HP engine on here uses them and they have never failed. They are good for about 80000km but I change them regularly. By reducing the spark gap you are also limiting the amount of energy the coil has to use to jump the gap. This will give you more voltage reserve and duration when you need it.
  19. Looks good, I wonder what the cost is?
  20. BKR6EIX NGK IRIDIUM
  21. Thanks for your input. Firstly, how many set of Atomic Valve Springs have you heard of failing???? Or any other ones compared to Nizpro. As I said it's not only me, your a mod, use the search and see how many others there are. Then compare them to how many complaints there have been about Nizpro valve springs. The results will speak for themselves. I did speak to Nizpro. They said they had a bad batch and that it was sorted and I shouldn't be having problems with them. No offer to refund them or anything. First oportunity I got to change them I did. Any way like pitlane said they have other options, I was simply exercising the freedom to voice my opinion. Perhaps I might be foolish to think that I bought a quality product that should of never had a problem? I mean they are a complicated peice of equipment to manufacture ovcourse I should have expected them to have a problem or multiple problems like you say.
  22. Funny that was the response I got from Simon through Tunehouse. Mine were floating at around 18psi. Do a search on the forum and you'll see I'm not the only one that complained about these sh*t springs. I say this again, they were not designed for this head, they are a generic spring with about 80psi or so seating pressure. Not much more than standard. I checked these myself at Atomic when I went to hire his tool. He let me use his guage to test them all for consistency. I was warned about them then before I put them in but had already spent the cash so I decided to put them in. I am not bagging them for no reason mate, but on my car the set that I had, floated simple. Dont know or care how many you fitted but im speaking from my experience and that can't be denied! Here is a link to one guy that was selling his because they floated too???? http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66171&st=0&p=987762&hl=nizpro+valve+springs&fromsearch=1
  23. I had the privlage to walk around the Factory and see one of these in the making. After all the work that goes into these I can't understand how they make a profit on them? They are easy to fit if you're handy with the tools. Just a tip, install your vacuum hoses prior to installing the plenum as they are hard to get to once it's down. Also go to Supercheap and buy a right angle drill attachment ($17) to drill the back hole of the bottom manifold so that the stud can go in as a standard drill will hit the firewall. You cannot beat the build and quality of this Plenum and the boys at Plazmaman are a real pleasure to deal with. Thanks Oyay and Alex!
  24. Just don't use Nizpro springs mate. Do a search of how many people had issues including myself. I changed them to Atomic springs. The Nizpro springs aren't even designed for the head they are just out of something else, otherwise they would be a conical spring which they're not.
