  1. Took my Fg styleside "work" ute to willowbank last night for its first outing, car has done 6,000k since new, no mods at all. Bascially in full street trim and full weight including a fibreglass 3 piece cover & sports bar ran a 13.28 @ 170kph on 95 octane. I normally run my other car (a 600hp mustang) but I broke an input shaft last time I ran it and decided to give the ute a run, very impressed for a factory car, FG turbos are a real sleeper for the performance they give. Keen to make use of this forum for the technical stuff and make a few mods to improve this as far as practical for a "work ute"
  2. Yep, tried that but got told to buy a new one. Sales rep was just not interested. If it doesn't involve the cable routing its a 1 min job to change anyway.
  3. Hi Guys, New to this forum but looks like a great resource. Just about to trade my current FG ute up to a turbo version and want to keep the Ipod connector fitted to my current ute. The ipod plugs into a controller (black box) in the centre console, my query is does anyone know if I need to pull out the wiring loom the box plugs into back to the dash as well or did ford pre-wire this loom in place at the factory? My guess is Ford pre-wired these looms to the console as it looks to be a pain to remove or install but if anyone knows for sure I'd greatly appreciate a response. Out of interest had a bloody time getting hold of this ute as well, govt rebates seem to be doing the trick don't seem to be many around at all at the moment.
