  1. I have been running the stock clutch since August with 310RWKW's, how long the clutch lasts depends on how you treat it. Mine started slipping on the trip home from the tuners and its still going, I have just had a hard time finding the time to get the new clutch in, I am going with a Mal Wood Opt3 heard only good things about them so can't go wrong.
  2. Nuh I had the car booked in at Ford on Monday morning to get my hand break fixed, took them longer than expected and didn't leave me enough time to get to hoppers crossing. I have a lot of interstate travel oveer the next month so it might be a little while before I can get there now. I did have a chat with a mate who does custom car upholstery by trade, he said the leather most car manufactures use isn't genuine leather anyway, most places use part leather part PVC. Makes the material more durable and a hell of a lot easier to keep clean. Also commented that genuine leather looks and smells nice at first but if not looked after all the time and left in the sun, will look crap in 18 months time. As soon as I visit this place I will post my findings, might take some high quality photos for people to look at.
  3. Gee do you clean under your car oftern or is all that stuff new underthere? Looks good but!
  4. Can't wait to get a replacement oil line, just waiting for ETM to get back to me. Does't seem like he has been on the forum for quite a while. Glad there was nothing major wrong with your setup.
  5. That sounds right to me, as long as you pass emmisions tests you should be right. But the boys in blue tend to pick on shinny objects under the hood.
  6. Ok so DIY stone chips can work, I did most of the ones I had and some came up better than others. I also found that factory paint is very thin so don't cut and polish too much. I decided I will still get them done by a professional as I am a perfectionist and if prefer them not to be visible at all. Anyone have recommendations for panel shops that fix these chips? Thanks
  7. I have a 38mm BOV and it still flutters a bit, some BOV's you have to cut the spring inside them as they are way to strong and wont let the BOV open under light throttle.
  8. Having a crack at this today, will see how we go ill start with a more hidden chip and see how it comes up.
  9. The guys that runs the place says he has had the same retims in his daily driver for 7 years and they still look fine, could be talking out of his ass. Pictures of the work he has done on their website looks pretty good.
  10. Yea that's the place mate. Rooster I do agree with you on the door trim thing, I put the question to Max (guy that works there). There are a few other car forums around with some topics about these retrims, feedback seem positive. Guess ill soon find out when I see it in the flesh.
  11. I will find out exactly Monday, but by the sounds of it there is material left after processing a batch of 'genuine leather' and this is collected and reprocessed to create this reborn leather. It is a cheap solution and looks and feels very good from what I have seen. I have seen it in a few audi's and euro cars and looks perfect.
  12. Good work mate, nice figure. enjoy the power!
  13. Yea no worries I am going to check it out Monday. Gee your game going with a white interior, be a pain to keep clean. Will post here what I think when I see them.
  14. I have been using it for about 8 months now, done 2 oil changes with it and think its great oil engine is a lot smoother since I have been using it.
  15. Yea sounds good, I might start using royal purple next oil change. Been using Nulon and paying about 75 buks, anyone know the price of a 20ltr drum of Royal Purple?
  16. All the photos I have seen look great, but still want to see it all in the flesh first. I am going for a slight custom job, and getting everything trimmed seats, doors, consol lid and gear boot. This is not the best colour choice but give you a idea of how it fits to the seats.
  17. Is this Pro Seat? the link didn't work for me. I was just about to post a topic on Pro Seat retrims. Been talking with a few people that have used Pro Seat and feed back is positive. He uses a product called ReBorn Leather. Reborn leather is a by product made from genuine leather. We import the material from Germany in bulk. There is a lot of wastage during leather creation process, these extra bits are collected and reprocessed to make a continuous roll of top layer material, reborn leather in roll which is another reason for affordability. They add foam backing to reborn leather to increase the comfort and durability. Reborn leather is UV resistant which means minimal service. Their factory is down in hoppers crossing and I am going down to take a look at their displays, they said that Reborn leather is real leather, looks like leather and feels like leather. It basically sounds like all the off cuts and stuff from the normal leather process gets collected and processes to make a roll of leather. hope this healps a bit, I will post up some feedback after I have looked at the products.
  18. How does the touch up spots look after you do it that way? Yea I will get the little dint pulled out by a pro then, didnt think it was to expensive to get it done. Thanks mate
  19. How oftern do you change your oil AcidTurbo6? I wanted to use Royal Purple but I change my oil every 5thou and it would become very expensive as its like $100 for 5L
  20. Not good, oh well like the others said atleast it allows your to forge some internals. My biggest fears is my engine letting go, but I rarely get the chance to give it a boot full so I guess that helps.
  21. Guys, I have a few paint chips on my car, not a great deal but they are bugging me now. I have one on the bonnet and a few on the edges of doors etc. Now I have had some experiance spray painting and touching up a Ford I restored a few years back. My turbo is Rapid yellow and wondering if people have tried touching up this colour paint them self and how hard it was to blend it. I think its a flat paint doesn't appear to have any metalic flec in it. If I decide its like to much work, what good places are around Melbourne that can fix these little paint chips? Any suggestion would be great. Also any suggestions on pulling out a door dint with no paint damage, any special tools you can buy or is it only the pros that have these tools?
  22. thanks for that I have read though that once before, I can pull some of the information I am after though hyperterminal but I am really after a solution that will allow that information to be displayed on a nice looking dashboard. I shall keep searching might have to write a little app my self to automate the process.
  23. Are you talking about the flutter sound or the actual BOV making the noise. As with the under battery pipes you get loud fluttering sounds when you back off the juice even with a BOV fitted. I had to cut the spring in the BOV to allow for more adjustement as it wasn't opening enough, in turn not letting out enough excess boost when backing off causing the flutter sound back though the turbo. If you put a big plumb back BOV in you should be able to get rid of most of the sound, I liked it at first but I am sick of people looking at me after I scare the sh*t out of them with a massive dose. I havn't been able to get rid of flutter completly but minimised it as much as possible. Hope this helps a bit
  24. Guys have just setup an ODBII scantool hooked into DashCommand now I have managed to find some standard PID's that work with my car. RPM, Speed, Engine Load, Timing Adv, Water Temp, Intake Temp. Does anyone now the PID's for these cars to get Oil Temp, Oil Presure, Fuel Presure? I would have thought these would be a standard thing to monitor from these ports. I have dash command integrated with centrafuse and its works great, I would just like to get some details about the engine oil and fuel system. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  25. some people just have no bloody brains, I hardly take my car to carparks at supermarkets or shopping centers no one gives a sh*t about anyone elses stuff. Lucky it didn't damage your car mate.
