This is the converter I use on my laptop My link If your building your own pc to use there are some video cards Arcade VGA I think that will allow you to apply the correct settings to display directly onto the ICC screen. I find a laptop is a lot easier as they are already small and easy to remove if you need to.

In short that is correct, there are no Oil or Fuel pressure sensors in the ODBII network on these cars which sucks
-
You need a ODBII scan tool, it plugs into the ODBII port behind the fuse box cover.

no worries I will have a look at it tonight, hopefully it fixes my wine noise. Thanks

Didn't get any photos of what you did by any chance did you?

You need to get a VGA to CGA converter, all you do is plug in your VGA cable from your laptop to this product and then a cable from the converter goes to the SATNAV port on the ICC. There is a thread around here somewhere that explains how to wire the plug to connect the converter to the SATNAV port on the ICC. Then if your going down this path you might as well put a touch screen overlay on your ICC screen, you can search ebay for these, they basically turn your Premium Sound screen into a touch screen. This way you can control what ever interface you decide to use by touching the screen. Converter I will have a look around on the computer at home I should have the wireing diagram somewhere. Ill post it here for you if I find it.

ohhh I hope this fixes my problem, I managed to ignore it all this time but has started giving me the sh*ts again laterly. Great info, thanks

Looks good, yea I have seen a few cars getting around with them painted.
-
Only way I could think of is a complete CarPC setup then you can have on your screen whatever you like. Doubt you can easily get the FPV logo on the BA ICC. Other option could be sell up and by a FG!

More than happy to share the work, not finished yet a few things here and there not working once I get them sorted and all the ratio's correct I will post here for other people to use. Thanks

I have been waiting for the day that someone try's to bring in a law like this one. Complete waist of time nothing will stop car accidents, people will continue to kill them selves in a Expensive Daewoo Barina or a Hyundai Excel makes no difference how much power it has. P plate drivers already have the "power limitation" but I don't see that stopping them breaking speed limits and killing them selves and others while they are at it. There is nothing the government can do to stop hooning or car related deaths, if the they bring in such a law there is nothing stopping people modifying there cars anyway like people do today.

Car parks are the worst place for this to happen, I hate taking my car to them. Nothing you can do to stop low life scum walking up and scratching your car. Even if it was a trolley someone who carelessly just hit your car with a trolley even if it was an accident it’s still their fault for being careless. Really pisses me off how people will just damage someone’s car look at it and just walk off, mind you their car is usually a complete dump and they have no respect for anyone else's property. Try get it fixed up, some detailing place should be able to get rid of it so it looks like it was never there.

Yea I am currently using it in my BA XR6T, I have a carpc setup going on and its connected to the ICC like a few people on here have done. Then I decided to get a ODBII scan tool and hook it up to the laptop and I purchased the DashCommand software which displays these skinable gauges.

If you are going to be modifying it I would be putting the T56 in, T5 wont hold much power. Another note these cars are very good, since you have a 03 BA you will be able to get very low 300's at the wheels with it, want any more you will need to upgrade internals. The BF's on wards come with stronger internals and can handle high 300's. The engines are awesome, very easy to get power out of.

Hi Guys, Been modifying the Skyline GTR skin for DashCommand 2.0 to suit our cars more I didn't like the originally GTR skin as it was too busy so I simplified the design a bit. This is what I have got so far any suggestions are welcome. I am really wanting to be able to display Oil Pressure and Fuel Pressure but these cars dont't seem to support the standard PID's for these values.

Yea pain to check the level but looks so much better than those dirty plastic things.
-
Yea I hated this part of the install also, glad you got it all sorted without breaking anything!

I did mine with a mate really need two people to do it without cracking the line. You will notice that when you start pulling the block out that all the piping in behind the headlight etc starts to move now this is where you need a mate to also move and watch the line from the headlight back and they can pull it at the same rate you do avoiding kinking and cracking the lines. I advise you take your time on this part rushing it will only end without aircon in your car. Only move it a bit at a time, too much force and you will kink the line.
-
yea that is was I was guessing just wanted to see for sure though. Thanks mate

Guys I have a coolant header tank to install, this is a basic question. On most alloy header tanks I notice that they have a outlet for a hose right below the cap. I see alot of engine bay pics with a hose connected to it but where does the other end go? I an guessing its just a drain point. What do you guys do with this connector?

My front bar also sags on the passenger side corner, mine is due to the intake piping though. There are clips along the top that hold it in place sometimes it takes a good push to get them to clip in. Have you put in a new intercooler setup as the pipes if not put on right can hold the bar down a bit.

Im running the castrol SAF-XA 80-140 in mine, havn't had any issues with it.
