Hey Guys, had some bad experience with tuners. looking for any recommendations for competent Tuner to do my xr6t ute. Is running 430rwkw on e85 (took a year to tune it !!!) but they absolutely stuffed the 98 tune. im in townsville nth queensland and most of the tuners here seem to specialize in holdens. know anyone?

Has anyone here done a full upgrade? what rwkw are you running? how reliable has it been? who did the upgrade? thx

thanks john. I checked around about a year ago and full rebuilds with both shafts were about $7500. have they got any cheaper?

I realize there is a trans thread elsewhere but there has been no comments in the 9 yrs. tech and knowledge have moved on. anyone got the latest? I'm expecting around 6~7k for full box performance rebuild

Hey guys. I'm chasing info about best people for trans upgrades. I have a bf ute that puts out 454rwkw but in 3rd about 4000rpm it peak revs then slams back into third.... ugg... somethings going to brake if it keeps happening so I'm up for a tranny rebuild. any info about converters too please. its a daily driver but I still have a lead foot ;-)

Just had the same problem. 3rd gear gets to about 4500, throws into neutral than back into third. was on the way back to mechanics to adjust ( just had zf tune , .7 front cover and 100lb injectors installed. 390rwkw) and a rod bolt let go. punched a hole through the sump. wouldnt be suprised if the trans playing up contributed to this. dont know whats next yet :-(

Hey Miles. ive got the cobra 2+ kit with 4" nizpro ehaust on a BF xr6t 6sp auto ute. It starts to drone about 1600 rpm and goes away by about 2200 rpm. 100 kph is right on the edge of the drone. Not real bad . its a little more annoying going slow through the gears up to 60 k's as your revs seem to stay right in the middle of it until you back off and cruise. Its not all that bad... you get used to it. Sounds pretty good otherwise. Goes ok too. Getting 364 rwkw.I got a second resonater put on but it didnt really make any difference.
