  2. Now we got us a party.. I'm in boys and girls.. Accommodation has been booked..
  3. Have a read of this thread in AFF.. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11346886 But, basically under the back of the car (pasenger side, under the rear bar) there is a plastic T piece with vacuum lines going to the exhast. Just unplug it and shove a small bolt in the end of the hose and cable tie it. that's all I did, and if you want to return it just take the bolt out and plug the line back into the T piece. Totally reversable. Takes you a total of 3 mins to do.
  4. Tidy car mate, they are an awesome sounding car. First mod you need to do is disconnect the bi-modular exhast (and its free). Then the exhaust sounds like a V8 under 4000rpm.
  5. Just waiting on the new rims to turn up. Taleb Tyres had to order them from the US. Got Pat to fit a set of Tein coilovers and Dale from Castle Hill Performance tweaked the tune. Currently pushing 376 at the treads, only mods is a airfilter and tune. So don't mind me Tab, it might be me waiting for you to catch up.. lol..
  6. The Phoon was retiered, so now driving s/c V8, so if you girls dont mind a non turbo coming I will be there..
  7. Happy Birthday aussie_dozer!

  8. These SC V8's are great. Cheap and easy to get power out of them. Xcal3, filter and tune = 380rwkw :sungum:
  9. See how you go.. But you also might need to get valve springs done.
  10. The government has its head some where else I think. Cause were losing 500 jobs just from the department I work in. They say its a 20% cut across the board for all fedral government departments. Going to be few thousands out of work. Will be interesting what the government does with its surplus now so many people will be needing a hand finding employment.
  11. I normally get 380km - 400km per tank city driving. But some spirited driving sees that fall to about 330km per tank. The best so far was 630km all highway, from Canberra to Sydney and back. The car is currently stock, (well till Saturday, will let you know how it goes after the tune).
  12. How much per corner was he charging?
  13. :hiwelcome: You will love it. The F6 is a good choice of car, one you will get many cruises out of.
  14. Your hilarious Tab.. lol.. You love my rants... Jaake, I got the bonnet from Phat Customs in Melbourne.. But if I could do it all over again I would not deal with them ever. However the idiot cut the hole in the bonnet, he ended up warping the metal. So it took one of the panel beaters here in Fyshwick 8 hours to fix it. Cost me heaps. But all good now. Have a read here and you will see they are backyard yahoo's... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11332665&highlight=phat But anyways, on a side note.. If your looking for a bonnet like this, wait 1 - 3 months and mine will be up for sale, the car's lease is up soon and I will be selling the bonnet. I am currently looking at one of the new GT's and wont need the bonnet. PM me if your interested.
  15. Go the R-spec
  16. BF Typhoon R-Spec.. So let me know if I have all this right, 20 x 9 +25 for the front would be the go, wheel and tyre would sit inside the gaurd and not hit the control arm? - best tyre would be 255/30/20? and 20 x 10.5 +35 for the rear. Again I dont want the rim hitting the gaurd or anything on the inside of the rim. - best tyre would be 285/30/20? Let me know if this is correct. Cheers for your help.
  17. Hey guys, So worms running 20x10.5 +30 and 20x9 +20 and you say the tyre is too small for the rim. My question is then.... If you changed the offsets to be bigger, say to +35 or +40 rear and +25 front, would that bring the rim inside the gaurd and then allow you to run a tyre that is bigger? or will going a bigger offset just stuff something else up? I have found a set of rims that are 20x9 for the front and 20x10.5 rear. But for the life of me I can't get a straight answer about the offset or what tyre I need to run. Any help would be appreciated...
  18. Hey camdawgs, I would go the R-spec, if the dealer is willing to lower the price you will have money to fix any annoying little problems that are there, and if anything big like the diff bush is shot you can get the dealer to fix it under warranty. And just remember its what makes you happy, you have to walk out and look at your car every morning, so if its not what you really want then dont do it. Good luck in your search.
  19. Awesome job Gary, thanks for making the cruise so memorable.
  20. 1 sleep to go lads... I am excited...
  21. Gary, I got 3 extra cars coming with me. So a total of 4 from the ACT. Looks like a bigger turn out than last year.
  22. Brand new BA / BF / FG Plazmaman surge tank http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/XR6-BA-BF-FG-Ford-Falcon-Typhoon-Surge-Tank-Bosch-O44-/160665878178?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item25686ebea2
  23. Does it knock in any particular direction? I had an under car knock but only on left hand turns, ended up being the exhaust hitting under the car. Good luck with it.
  24. Hey guys, we are booked in. Will be me and 3 other XR6 Turbo's. And yes Tab, all Canberra people.. I know how much you love us all.. lol.. Better hurry and book people as the rooms are booking up fast. Golden Chain Elms Motor Inn is fully booked up now. Just got off the phone with them. And Gary, any chance I can borrow the walkie talkie again this year? Cheers Tony.
  25. Hey guys, Keen to know what people are paying to have this done? Sounds like a lot of work to change the oil pump, so what sould one be looking at for labour etc? Or is it just a weekend job in the shed?
