Yeah my BF MKII does the same every time I start it since I've had it custom tune & bigger injectors installed but within 10-15 sec it's gone it runs normal.... since I live down the south coast I haven't had a chance to take it back to CV performance to get it checked out, it feels like the timing is out & then after 10-15 sec the computer fixes it that's my opinion anyway
Yeah I've got this 7ft sercuity guard at work & he use too bag me all the F@cking time about my XR6T,he drives a VT SS 5.7lt & of late my come backs are "Put your money were your mouth is" or come bud lets race for pink slips! he doesn't say to much after that cause his got no BALLS otherwise he would lol....
I've been quoted around the $700 mark plus $300 for labour EG: taking the Turbo off & reinstalling it & was told they needed the car for a day or two... & as said early you will need a new Tune which is anywhere from $500-$1000
Its probably redlining by the sound of it revving it to high, I've had this happen to me when I leave in 1st or 2nd gear to long it redlines & starts to back firer or the traction control is on & the light flashes on the cluster.....
Just had my redback Quads fitted to my XR6T today & I have to say how quite it is now.... It has a nice mild note without drawing to much attention no drowning what so ever a very good catback exhaust system for low 300-390rwkw's I couldn 't be happier, next will be an X-force 4" dump into a 3.5" Cat & twin 2 1/2" collector.
I've heard of people getting anywhere from 338rwkw's plus with standard exhaust which is only 2 1/4" & using a Hiflow cat, while these redback Quad exhaust systems are 2 1/2" so you would think they would have to be good for atleast 360-380rwkw's with a Hiflow cat wouldn't they? As I don't really want 400 rwkw's with standard Turbo as I've heard the standard turbo are at there limits around 380-400 rwkw's, PS: How many rwkw's is you car pulling? Thanks for your replys guys.
