  1. Sorry I thought you were having a dip at me because I had photoshopped it so many times . which I did an kept posting for opinions. For the record it was not built to the way I wanted either . certain sacrifices had to be made. An with the amount coin invested it will have to do im just glad its pretty good.
  2. No worries guys , all opinions are welcome . It was always going to be one off those builds the would either work or it wouldn't , my opinion is it looks better then a stock tub . But if I done it all over again there would be things I would change. But basically 90% of the comments I have recieved have been it looks great . Must be just this forum (tough crowd) . I must admit I am struggling not to get to defensive , because I love my ute but if you keep your comments clean it should not be a problem . Not to shore , What to make of that comment , But I now feel the need to defend myself - I was half way through my build and was nevous as F@#k that I destroyed my ute and bank balence so I guess I was just trying to find somthing in it or somthing to do to it to justify the cost . If I thought it was that bad I would of scraped which I almost did till I saw the finished product honestly whats a tub worth these days $600 on ebay with a hardlid not hard to go back . But at this point im loving it , go to the pub have fella's coming up to me saying how much they like taking photo's chatting about it with me also on my building sites its been very popular also with the Expensive Daewoo boys . Worst case its a display of excellent workmanship which it is. It could of been alot worse it could of ended up looking like this tub I guess these photo's ive just posted is to show you guys what I see in it . An if you then dont like it I will wear it . Anyway sorry for dragging lets hear it.
  3. Nah im not going to bother , once the builder top is made for the ute , The trailer top will be sold and I will make a cage for the trailer to cart fire wood .
  4. Yeah he is being sarcastic , he's been chatting to me through the entire build
  5. Well I did not go lower looks ok as is , when I get a few scratches or a new finacial year I might have a dip by more then happy for now. And how I went with the lights There is more photo's on fordforums.com but that's all on hear for now
  6. Cant say im a big fan of those bars , An not exactly sure what im going to do with my tray yet all I know is it will cost more . As for the floor it will be steel checker plate . I just had a jarrah tray on my last tray . Look good for a week and the start to discolour and warp/move . Then every couple months they need adjuting back into place resanding and re oiling . Absolute nightmare to maintain. Im not the kind of bloke that will settle for ok ,so what ever I end up doing it will look great. Well in my eyes anyway
  7. I got pretty crafty on that one . The ba mk11 lights setup is 2 stardard brake lighs up top then blinker then reverse light . what I have done is cut the top brake light of just by running the light through a band saw and the sealed it it so it was approx 2/3 the size still legal and filled the gaps it just butted up to the steel frame that sits at the top of the cut tub . If I go lower I will cut the brake lights out alltogether and just have blikers and reverse light . and a rectage brake light at the highest point on the back.
  8. its to late im more than half way through and it does look pretty ordinary For the last couple of months ive been giving it ago , I was never shore how it would look I just thought ill give it a punt , This what it looks like now not quite finished it will need skirts and other things to finish off . At present I told the boys to stop work at present. Because im not happy with it and was about to start working on it again. By cutting the tray lower just above the wheel arches or just to cut my losses and give up go back to a steel tray. Bear in mind a lot of wasted dollars if I do I used to have a steel tray but it rusted out that's how the new tray idea come about. I have done a rough photoshop of how it will look done if I cut it down again . This is it not sure about the black around the top but it just a photoshop so im not fussed . Let me know what you guys reackon im on the fence to be honest .
