  1. both I removed and cleaned up appeared identical and identical ohms from memory
  2. pretty close mate few mm out do you know if this spring on the chain tensioner could contribute to the 'cam positon timeing over re-tard faults ' I get. this fault P1383 , P1388, recurring faults sometimes on idle , sometimes the moement I start it, and other times it seems when the car warms up with 20kms driving. It cuts power back and if ya up it feels like its surging and gutless, I have to reset the faults with the X2 each time. The only thing left to check is the fuel circuit.
  3. seems timing is ok l
  4. thanks mate, not sure how this is possible but my sprokets in that position are 180 degrees out to the the yellow links. Sprokets in that position match balancer alignment though. I had billet chain , pump gears, replaced 8 years ago so its possible that mechanic measured time from another angle. Another crack it tomoz probably got another rotation left to spanner around...
  5. Any tips on turning the harmonic balancer by hand to see if the timing chain matches up,or is it as straight forward as I that
  6. 2013, wow , I have been neglecting this girl.
  7. Thanks mate, pickin up a gasket now, im hoping solenoids unbolt and slide in and out without any complications. Hope its not a chain, heard gotta drop engine to do, might be time to get another bank loan and put Atomic Short engine in.
  8. The cam assembly would be a real hassel to remove, I just want to make certain the solenoids arent stickin or clogged, its 1 of the last checks to solve my ongoing intermittent 'Cam position Timing over-retard fault'.
  9. I overheard some ladies at bingo saying the ZF6 tunes are now apparently too large to store on the capa SCT X2 Flashy box??? Anyone else heard this SCT cash grab because the champion that tunes my car hasnt, and he said he can just put the tune in the car and forget about the flashy if SCT gona play tight fisty coonts.
  10. Hey T junkies, Anyone know if I can remove the 2 cam timing solenoids for cleany just by removing rocker cover and without removing the entire cam assembly,,,because that would really suck.
  11. Happy Birthday dayjunkie!

  12. After market mags are cheap and from my experience you get what you pay for. I bought after market 19inch typhoon mags and dont get me wrong they looked awsome my mates thought they were real. But little bit too shiny, which meant the surface more raw and machined than factory mags. After 2 months old they started showing fine rust even with a weekly clean. I've since sold that ute and have a force 6. I have looked into getting the 20inch dark agents as well. I reackon they will still rust but only the outer rim(silver part). I'm also under the impression that if you put 20inch wheels u may find you will have to pump your guards. more $$ man.
  13. Hey does anyone know where in Queensland or Australia can I purchase a car computor as a complete package and maybe if theres a company that specialises in selling and installing these units?
  14. Heres a couple I took on my phone not best quality picture.
  15. Yeah man as soon as I get it off the hoist I'll take some snaps.
  16. Ended up being a timing guard had broken off and ended up caught between the timing chain and oil pump. Chain and pump okay so while the engine is out I'll be replacing oil pump gears with billets. Cheers for the feedback.
  17. Wandering if this problem is common, I'm new to the turbo world, and I recently bought a Force 6, It already had injectors a high flow cat and tune. Anyway car worked flawless for three weeks until the other day, I was sitting on 60km/hr and punched it, the turbo kicked in and then a serious rattle noise came from engine bay. I got the car home, the car idles erraticly up and down has sharp loud metal tapping/rubbing noises coming from either the engine or turbo, the turbo doesn't seem to be working and its got what seems to be either unburnt fuel or oil spitting from rear exhaust pipe. Any ideas?
