  1. know the feeling mate, you can tell when it starts to get loud haha
  2. haha whoops didnt read the last post till just then
  3. well yeah ive been told that the two bolts that hold the power steering rack onto the cross member have rubber shims or washers and once they wear out it makes that clicking. its a common problem with the ba series apparantly
  4. I just got my guards rolled, pumped, and resprayed cause the same thing happened to me. they said when they pump guards(which is like flaring them) the paint cracks and mine were already badly damaged. 150 bucks 2 pump the guards then 400 to paint the fenders
  5. notol at first I thought it might be coils but it seems strange that faulty coil packs would cause the oil light to flash so I dunno
  6. thanks guys ill get a price to get the springs done and see what happens. I asked my mechanic about valve float and he said it probably wouldnt be that but yeah not sure.its strange though I can put as much boot in as I want when its getting traction.. it only happens when ive been smokin it on the brake
  7. yeah my mate had the same problem till he got .8 gapped plugs
  8. really? glad you said that because I havent had the work done yet, that was just a quote. would it be worth getting the springs changed to heavier ones first to see if that fixes it? thanks heaps for your help
  9. cheers guys. turned out to be bleeding lifters. 50 bucks a lifter and 3 hours labour :(
  10. its a ba mk II and nah they havent been replaced. but yeah youre probably right. just that I read a heap of other problems similar to this and there were soooo many different causes. I forgot to mention that when the engine stalled, the oil light flashed and beeped at me a couple of times. this is odd considering I just changed my oil to a 15 weight and changed the filter
  11. just wondering if anyone can help me... most of the time after ive done a burnout, the motor runs rough for about 2 minutes and sounds like its missing 2 or 3 cylinders and then fixes its self. the other day it got so bad that it stalled and wouldnt start up straight away. has anyone heard of this before? my car is running 15 psi
