350,000 in a 2003 BA series 1. The turbo packed up just before I chipped a valve (cyl no 4). Original conrods were bent, probably from pinging on oil in its last days. Now I've had the motor rebuilt with a huge list of replaced parts and it feels better than new. (standard tune for the running in period).
