  1. lol yup dodging potholes big time :D ...need one to get cert unforunately...
  2. Right this is a long shot, Im pretty sure you aussies wouldnt need these as you have tough laws about lowering cars.. However what I was wanting to know is if anybody knows about drive shaft hoops/loops - as in a safety hoop for a drive shaft for if it breaks it will stop the car catapulting. My car has been lowered to around 85mm so I need to have one. I need to buy one so I was wondering if these can be bought off the shelf etc instead of being custom made.
  3. @xr6turbs Im not a huge fan of IPV however I try to keep a neutral mind about this... So seeing as your from Auckland I would take it to Torque Performance....hell If I ever retune my car Ill send it back there from chch. Robin is god when it comes to these cars...he really does know his sh*t lol @Weiner...respect bro, your a brave man...right I end my tuner talk there :D...your ute still blue? Ive seen a grey one with dark argents floating around.... @rad very nice, sure wouldnt want to meet you at the lights LOL *Edit: my theory is do it once do it right, thus why I went to Torque Performance....
  4. slipping clutch? doesnt sound good for an 07 lol who ya getting to tune it xr6turbs
  5. right bought the h4 hi/lo and h3 6000k phillips...will post some pics once installed
  6. calling all NZ members.....I know there are alot of you guys out there that havent said much so give us a post of where ya from and what your driving Ill go first then :D Im from Christchurch and driving an 06 FPV typhoon running 342rwkw whose next :D dont be shy
  7. poor barst3ds..feel for you guys big time.... what you need are kiwi cops lol I was caught doing 125km in a 100km zone, the cop didnt even check my license or anything and no ticket..he just thought I passed someone...poor aussies hehe we have such relaxed rules here, as long as your not doing stupid crap they will mostly leave you alone...BUT they do pay alot of attention to those ricers hehe the HID for the foggies are expensive but Im sure they would look pretty good, I use my fogs alot...not for fog though more as a park light....installation might be difficult..
  8. so im going to get the h4 hi/lo phillips 6000k HID as linked at the top of the previous page however I see they also do h3 phillips HID 6000k for the foggies....anybody got these??? Obviously they arent the cheapest but just wondering how people find them
  9. Ah ok colour of headlights and foggies need to match...Ill do the h4's but would prefer to do the f3's at same time when you guys call talk a phillips globes lifetime being crap how long a life time we talking
  10. thanks wenier would there be alot of noticeable different between those 5000k foggies and the 6000k lowbeam lights??? I guess you get what you pay for though lol as long as they are better than the factory lights :D cant wait to see the pics bonjaz
  11. man trying to decide what ones to buy is so difficult....espeically if there are variations between the same HID's...argh why cant it be easier to choose the best hid light kit for low beam and fogs...I dont care what colour they are as long as they light up the road better than the others :D lol
  12. so alot of people here have bought these hid lights and led's for interior from this Alex guy?? Have most people had trouble with the beam alignment and light colour changing???
  13. right time to bypass the t10 h10 h7 h4 stuff , can someone recommend an HID set up for my BF foon for the following: park lights fog lights low beam has to be a straight conversion and if you know where to buy wel that's even better
  14. Good point about the high beam....I dont use high beam that much....thinking of it now high beam on falcons isnt too bad its just the low beam I find to be average... I have no idea what h4 and h7 is about though...what does it even mean??? newbie question lol
  15. how much were they? he does them for BF's right?? Unless they are universal? ill give him an email shortly
  16. yeah man that would be good Postage is always killer espeically when your battleing the Aust dollar lol They produce a good quality light though?? feed back from people who have them installed would be good...easy to install as well?
  17. hi guys I am looking at upgrading my BF foon headlights to HID lights. Ive read the couple of threads about them here however still stuck on one thing. What im after is a complete globe convert kit so I can keep the factory headlight units - low beam, high beam plus fog lights...looking at the 6000k as these apparently are best for driving. Does anybody know where to buy the complete kit and also is it easy to install??? I know on ebay there are alot of choices however I want to make sure Im not buying a crap set
  18. I cant remember the exact cost but it wasnt all that expensive the aeroforce website advertises the single for US$250 and US$399 for dual gauges plus postage http://www.xtremeautogauges.com.au/ do also sell them however looks like there website is down There is a list of atleast 30 parameters it can read e.g air intake, trans temp, misfires, boost, throttle position etc etc, bloody handly gauge.
  19. I got the top end audio gauges - oil press, boost, oil temp then I made a single gauge bracket for the tissue box and put an aeroforce intercepter gauge in. The gauge plugs into your computer via fusebox (keep forgetting the actual name of the port) but it can display two parameters from any sensor on the car. Its the easiest of all gauges to install. From memory theres about 30 different parameters. I have mine showing trans temp and air intake temp. It can even give you quarter mile times
  20. show was awesome mate, so many stangs....although only downside apart from weather was there was a limited edition 2011 Dub Mustang...it looked premo..apart from one thing US ford seems to be sh!t with when designing the car....the brakes...had small tiny brakes... didnt even have drilled or slotted rotors...crazy but apart from that it was really good to see all the different fords...I had the only foon there :D
  21. cheers mate, you going to all Ford day on the 19th of Feb @ Wigram?? the foon & boogas going in it...you should give ya ute a clean and put it in. From memory its like $5 - $10 entry..... Im going to laser cut a sign at work to advertise the forum so we hopefully get a few more local members here.
  22. just an update: the problem was based around the FPV upgrade alarm. Apparently there is another step which needs to be taken to overide the FPV alarm. So if you have a cyclops alarm (ford add on alarm) and it false alarms it could be this problem.
  23. How many do we have from the Christchurch region??? Looking at getting a cruise together sometime so if interested do post
  24. you know of it? any idea what the prob is? but otherwise will get him to ring them
  25. update: car is still tripping the alarm when the battery saver mode kicks in after 15min door circuits have been seperated so cant be those, diode has been installed in boot lighting circuit anyone had this problem before??? its such a pain in the butt not knowing where the voltage is coming from that's tripping it - also its a cyclops alarm auto sparky has a friend coming to NZ for a holiday in 2 weeks who works for a sydney ford dealer...will have to wait until then to find out :S
