  1. arggghhh the pain...if its shuddering while in gear it means the engines stone cold. If it shudders while idleing then I dont know.... I start my car in a REAL cold morning, so far its been down to 2deg. Should always let the car run for a bit first..
  2. LOL gotcha now. Sweet this should fix the problem
  3. Wait...what did you do? put a hole in the fan unit itself and filled it with oil???
  4. Damn wish they had exhaust temp...although air/fuel ratio basically gives the same information (about if engine runnung lean)..I think..
  5. Yeah I had a look at it..seems that forum has two issues going on though..to solve the ticking noise I gather you stretch the springs...but to stop the squeeky I need to use engine oil to lubricate it instead of a silicone oil..right?
  6. I noticed in the picture that you cant really see the red logo...is it just the picture or do you really not see it?
  7. I have a bit of a dilemma and would like peoples opinions. I have decided I will buy the tripod gauge holder (pole position one) due to it really being my only choice.. But now I am seeking three gauges. I dont know how to create a poll so Ill just ask it: If you had to buy three gauges would you buy the ten colour from Ozegauges or the Hiro gauges??? I really like the style of Ozegauge however I dont like the red logo on it. Where as the Hiro gauges look awesome with its custom background but I do like the stealth look. Argh what to do!! My idea of this poll is to help me decide from peoples opinions/experiences. If only I could mash these two gauges together....
  8. my a/c fan unit squeaks, only on low. It is driving me freakin crazy What do I need to do/use to get rid of this problem?? Take fan unit out and oil it? Or are they a bearing unit? Please help before my steel cap boots deal with it
  9. only problem is you need power to open boot..on the other hand if someone really hits you hard from behind it may rupture the FE...thus saving you a job
  10. Heres the results. I made an alloy bracket to support the bracket and stop the bottle from sliding out. The plastic is a decent grade so shouldnt break. The seat slides over the FE with alot of room to spare.
  11. I unplugged and replugged the yellow plug under both front seats which are the airbag cables. This has worked for now but It could possibly come back again. When I talked to my local ford dealer they said that some falcons do get this problem coming back over and over. The solution to this is that they hard wire the airbag cable system in. So no more plugs.
  12. so I bought it anyway ..apparantly they do work on nano's HOWEVER my tip: get someone dumb enough to install it lol...I installed mine and Ill never do one again ...good if you got small hands and can get them behind fuse box other than that hard
  13. Yeah and pay $88/hour ha the seat got to come out to get easy access?? Its a BA. I looked up the error in the manual and it said that while the light is on the airbag system will not work in an accident... maybe I will have to take it in to ford... all plugs seem to be connected in but I think only way to make sure is to unplug and replug.... of a thing to get to though..
  14. My air back light (one with man wearing the seatbelt with circle in front) has come on again...last time I wiggled some wires under the seat and it went out. However now since its back I may as well ask how to actually get it turned off? Is it the wires and ports under the front seats or what?? anyone else had this problem?? fix??
  15. anybody use BP 98 fuel???? I have just started using it instead of shell 95 and just want to see peoples opinions about it, if its any good or what not. The only thing Ive noticed so far is that when I am pumping fuel into my car that it actually fills it up...when I pumped 95 into it when the hand clicked to say it was full however I could usually get another $5-$10 in after that...however with 98 I cant...random/weird yes... anyway whats peoples opinion about 98?? *even though it costs nearly $2/L*
  16. sweet will get some tomorrow....can I use this on my squeeky air con fan inside the car too?
  17. does it say what sort of oil to use?
  18. far out where did you get that?? I want that book
  19. I made a bracket for mine ill post pics tomorrow when I install it
  20. My seat belt thing retracts very slowly. I want to open it up to clean it out and grease it but I am not sure on how to get into it. Can anybody quickly tell me how to get the panel off and into the thing?
  21. This is what I figured out when looking into it....put your tacho on fuel/100km (not average). I noticed that mine would only shudder in reverse if the fuel/100km was over 6.0 L/100km (on idle). Once it was under 6.0 L/100km(on idle) I would then put it in reverse. Shudder no more. Takes like 10sec to get it under 6.0 L/100km
  22. What is the solution for a squeeky fan??? I dont get the ticking noise just the squeeking which is freeeeekin annoying.
  23. Yeah but I mean turn your car on in the morning...let it run for like 30 sec then put in reverse...I found that it doesnt do it when I let it run for a bit....oh hold on, you mean the motor shudders when idle? I thought you mean when you put it in reverse and start moving backwards that it starts to shudder a little bit
  24. I am looking at installing a fire extingusher under the drivers seat. I have taken out the two floor mat holder clips so I can install the FE basically where they are located (refer to square area on picture). However I know there are wires under the drivers seat, Im just not sure where they go. So my question is does anybody know if they are any cables located under or near the spot I want to put my FE????
