there is a little tab in behind which controls the air flow setting...it sounds like the little tab has come out

pretty sure its just a pull off one. they got snap lugs by memory when I took mine off....

has anybody ever changed the seats over in a BF mk II??? I found the perfect car however it has cloth seats

Is it true that the following are problems for the BF2 and should be replaced?? - Replacement of both front end ball joints - Steering rack replaced - ZF gear box seal and oil replaced Id hope with the car im going to see next weekend that since its an ex lease car those problems would have already been fixed

Theres a member on this forum who was just recently selling parts...he had some sort of smokey tinted tail lights....looked awesome! however cannot find his profile to ask him where he got them from...........anybody seen these or a similar pair and know where to get them??? Clear tails just dont do it for me

Yeah well if its ex lease then obviously it has been serviced when its been due for one. Otherwise that breaks the contract rules unlike if the average joe owns it then he can get it serviced at a later date..which is bad..only a non-ford lover would do that of course I did think about importing one from aust....but Ive heard rumours of cars being more expensive over there.... so you all think the turbo will be first to go? haha nice also stever whats this about the tranny cooler?? the auto doesnt like them on this model???

Id rather use clock if possible. Would already be running radar off power supply

nah more like $3.00... sure, it does have high km's, but that tells me since its a ex lease car that it was run on long distance sales calls etc. I mean its only an 2007...but I still see what ya mean, I would only seek a car with km's between 50,000km and 90,000km if I had a choice...Anything below means the budgets blown which the boss wont like... mods are : exhaust, PW cooler and air intake kit, 60lbs injectors and tranny cooler

I have a chance to buy a 07 BF II vixon red 98,000km, full service history (ex-lease car), full lux pack for NZ$25k but mostly likely NZ$21k. I have looked around and the price of falcons varies soooo much. Firstly does this price seem good? To me $21k would be best obviously however the car is very tidy. Also is there anything I should be looking out for on this model?? I plan to pretty much mod it straight away as I already have the parts to do it. So I need not worry about the high km's on it since Ill be modifying it??? I see the BF II as the last brilliant model of the "B" series before they changed into FG, so presuming that surely it has to be the best "B series car (one to hold onto).

Has anybody installed the tripod gauges on a falcon with premium sound? I presume the clock would have a earth, power and illumination wire...if so has anyone tapped into these for powering their gauges??

Anybody got the BA plastic panel you replace with the gauge pod with??? I need one as selling car and want to take gauges with me

sooo therefore saving 1m of pipe in weight?? I thought of it like this....its a street car and I dont drag it on the 1/4 mile so therefore the exhaust isnt running full capacity unless I am hammering which I cant really because its a street car. The exhaust gas cools near the rear anyway so I thought yeah its the perfect size exhaust for me,....unless im pumping like 400 at the rear wheels then yeah 3.5/4inch a must have

that's true I can imagine how tight it is but people e.g work mates keep telling me 3inch is way over kill and will cause alot of turbo lag. Why 3inch over 2.5inch for these cars? I need something to tell them to make'em shut up hehe

I keep getting told 3inch is over kill for IC piping. Would it result in alot of turbo lag? Plus 2.5 hot side and 3" cold side? whats with that? I thought air expands when cooling so wouldnt the other way around be better for more air pressure?

Yeah I really dont beleive a single 3inch will be outdone by a stock system. They have chambered mufflers on a stock compared to straight through on a 3inch. Chambered mufflers weight is the same as a fridge :nuke: .. EPA? who are EPA? oh they are those hippies that we keep out of unzed. Aussies seem to love them... also whats the big debate on intercooling piping size 2.5inch and 3inch??? whats better?

After much thought I have decided to buy a BF II turbo before xmas. Ive looked up a few threads but cant seem to find any faults with them. Unlike the BA which is riddled with problems. So does anyone know the advantages and disadvantages of the BF II...or is it just the best xr6t before they changed to the FG shape. Also what mods would I need to look at for the car? As in the BA - valve springs a def. What would the BF II def mods be? Anyone want to guess what power would come out with the mods that are definately needed (as asked above) as well with these: 3inch full exhaust with no CAT, 60lbs injectors, 4inch PW race intake, PW battery and throttle relocation, stage 2 intercooler with piping and transmission cooler. With the boost not exceeding 12psi or whatever is best for speed/life of engine.

I have the custom gauges from top end audio in my car. But I am looking at selling my car. Does anybody know of any other gauges that will fit the tripod from pole position and connect to the sensors already there??? Ill take the custom gauges with me into BF II. The gauges are exhaust temp, oil press and boost.

Yeah I am still thinking over that 3inch exhaust. No CAT much better since its not law here. Mufflers wont be chambered so noise will be an issue if I removed center muffler. I lifted a stock exhaust the other day and WOW shes a fatty. Tried the one I am getting and there is ALOT of difference in weight. Also being straight through mufflers should help compared to chambered. So hopefully there shouldnt be a hell of alot of difference between 3inch and 3.5inch. Might be semi-good having a little back pressure there. Whats a CAI? Ill need to keep an eye out for a tranny cooler. Think this will help it a lot?? I am eyeing up a new unused pair of 60 pounders seimen injectors for $400. Also what you mean by valve body mod?
