  1. it took less than a day for the car to be taken off carsale (presumably sold) any recommendation for transporting car?
  2. got this from the qld transport website http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/Home/Regis...e_or_territory/ http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/Home/Regis...Motor_vehicles/ I get the car up to qld pay up transfer fee, duty tax, new rego with rwc previous owner un-reg and get back the remaining rego is that right?
  3. hey guys I'm thinking of getting a car from a pte seller in SA. what are the procedures and cost? would I need a sa rwc or qld rwc? is the rego transferable? flying down to SA to see the car flesh is not really an option. would a pre purchase inspection suffice? how much is it to transport the car from SA to QLD?
  4. oh yeah forgot to check the engine oil. dont even know where the dip stick is! didnt notice anything about the exhaust..gotta take a look again.. didnt know the xr6t sits so low. cant see much of the under carriage without a jack.. nah, like I said. the car doesnt come with anything. no leather, no premium sound. not even a car mat!! how much does a full xr6t car mat cost?

  6. carsales link I went down to view this car. its a company's car not privately owned. car didnt have car mats and I dont think it came with any extras. doesnt seem to be very well taken care of interior wise. the bonnet release near the accelerator pedal is hanging loose. center glove box doesnt fit tight. and just filled with dust.. exterior seems alright with slight blemish. all 4 rims with kerb rashes. car is totally stock. no log book to show as of now. she said there are some papers but she didnt bring it along. also, during the test drive.. theres this clunky sound. I think its from the rear diff... not all the time.. when on load.. how much do you guys think its worth?
  7. I read that the xr6t using a chain an not a timing belt. so whats done or even any for a the traditional 100k servicing?
  8. I'm in st lucia but the car that I will be view will probably me in around Brisbane. other than elite is there any shops that specialist in fords? Guess it’s easier to go to someone who been looking at ford day in day out and will be able to spot the obvious at ease.

I'm also reading the other thread talking about the t5 gearbox. it seems like a time bomb! scary! also, that would mean the resale value of the 5 speed would be very bad in say 2 years time? when all are starting to break down eh? 6 speed is the way to go yea. gotta wait and see if any 6speed come along.
  13. I wont be having the car for long. I'm here in Brisbane for attachment for 2 years and I'm left with just a year. that said with the time constraint, the most I can do will be the normal mods. fuel pump, injectors,exhaust,air filter and a flash? is it the same for a xr6t? how much gain will I see from that? enough to break the t5? there are not alot of mk II in the market currently for me to choose from either.
  14. get what you mean. its a endless pit to having more power. how much can the T5 hold? 300kw? and the oil change. you guys do it at 5k or 10k intervals?
  15. I'm not looking at big mod big kw. only mod I'm looking probably exhaust/air filter. what sort of power are u running with the 5speed? kms?
