I know there are only a few minor aesthetic details, but I would only put originals on. quality and knowing they are the real deal. thinking of keeping the 18's ive got for the track/strip.
Basically what im not sure about is how easily can I sell my FG Flat EGR tonneau cover for. I need a change of style. either full trade enclosed box or just go for a much cheaper fibreglass conopy. have many people sold theirs and have they had much luck. im not expecting to get much costs back on the lid, but im hoping for 1k too 1.5k. its in brand new condition. anyone know how what I could expect... thanks for the help...
Hey people, I'm going to check out some dark agents from a guy I know through a friend of a friend. they are going pretty cheap. with tyre's. I know there are some fakes kicking around. just wondering if anyone has any pointers or things to check out to make sure they are real. im pretty sure for a rim to be 'legal' to sell they need to be 10% diff than the orig. if anyone could help out would be great... cheers
I am seriously interested in this, been wanting one for a while just had no idea even where to start. I wouldn't have expected it to be illegal or an insurance issue..
hey guys, my new fgt in nitro seems to be covered in orange peel. is this something I can take back to ford to fix? or is there something I can do for it. thanks
they have 270kw's stock. if you got a zorst your manufactureres warrenty would be fine. only thing you cant do to it is put on a high high flow cat. only thing you can do mechanically I think is get a zorst turbo back and cai. that's what im doin. I want a full quad system. about 1800. for cai ive been told a k&n will be more than enough.
thanks heaps for that guys, been a big help. I thought it would be ok. if it was an issue I would expect the dealer to be telling me about it more. so far its all good. cheers boys
hey guys, ive got the zf 6p in my FGT. just wondering how you get a good start off the line. I need to spool the turbo up, but when I try to get the revs up above 2000rpm it cuts it. just starts to idle. even when my foot is planted... that's with traction control off. so far I cant get off the line good, just want to get it down good before I take to the strip. thanks
im the same with my tools. was waiting to come out and all be gone... but what they failed to tell me was that they have a "2 stage lock". apparently. you put it down, and it clicks. then you push harder and it secures it. that did the trick. but now I find the mechanism that locks it to be faulty. it doesn't latch at all some times. and I need to pull it across then it goes fine. until the next time I unlock it. and yeah I think mine was the first one they had installed. I got mine from lynford in perth. ive had so many issues with my car. bad luck 1: they ordered the cars interior in black, I specified blue to match the nitro. when it arrived it was black. but I had been waiting at least 10 weeks for it so I didn't care. I just wanted it. and black was more than likely a better color for work. 2: they put a normal tow bar on it, not a Reece hitch. which had to then later be changed over in my time. at there cost. 3: the people who did my ladder rack decided to touch it up with black spray paint. WHILE IT WAS ON THE CAR! so as you would imagine, its all up the back of the car. so that's more time off the road for them to fix. 4: last but not least, when I took my car in to get sign writing on the car for the business. the kid who moved my car reversed it into concrete bollard. yet another thing that has soured my feeling of my nice brand new xr6t. that happened today. that's my rant, feel a little better now...
well said Marty, I used to love the Bogan special , but then for some reason I just stopped liking them.I was always a Expensive Daewoo boy. always will be. especially on the track. Go Tander! but at the moment I think ford is better. awesome zf 6sp auto, good economy out of a high powered I6. obviously I love the look of the FG other wise I wouldn't have bought one. I think if I was going to buy a v8, even out of the ford range, I think I would buy a ss thunder. late vz model. obvious steps forward in technology between the ve-vz, but I just like the styling.
hey guys. have had my car just under a week. so far I love the hell out of it. makes me smile each time that garret turbo kicks in. other day I locked the hard cover, then just to check if it was closed correctly I applied a small amount of pressure. next thing I know the farkin cover opens up. even while it is locked. I am going into ford tomorrow to sort this out asap as I have alot of expensive tools I need secure. my area isnt the best, and need this locking issue sorted out. hope its just me, and its easy to fix. thanks
hey guys, just got my new Fg xr6t, lovin it. was just wondering, do you have to run the engine in at all. I know with most other things you do. usually the run in determines the overall performance and life of the engine. is it the case with these. this is my first brand new car so I haven't had to had to do it before. thanks
