It was probably more frustration as he was about the tenth car hogging the right lane I had come across in about 20klm (absolute pet hate of mine!). He just had that attitude that grated on me so I couldnt help but be a smart arse which didnt help my situation either. that's unfortunate bout the ticket. Didnt spot that one on my way back?? Would really make my day if I got one from that snapper as well. I was set at 110 too but im pretty sure mines close to spot on

Spotted me getting pulled by Mr. PoPo on the Kwinana today!!! Cops like most other Perth road users dont understand that on a multi lane freeway the rule is KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING!!!!! not sit in right lane and do f**king 95km/h!! Now I have a date with the magistrate for dangerous driving because I got the sh*ts on grabbed third and overtook in the left lane not realising it was an unmarked Cop car!!! Copper wasnt real receptive to the idea that his disregard for the road rules caused me to drive dangerously!!! Probably didnt really help my cause suggesting that he revisit the road rules before writing tickets in the future!! Rant over!!

I agree with everything said. GO FOR IT!! I was in the same position as you about 3 months ago. Got the flash tuner put in injectors, fuel pump and got custom tune. The difference was unbelievable! Stock clutch started slipping bout 2 weeks later but I had that coming. Now im getting the T56 and mal wood option3 clutch in next week and am already planning for the next round of mods. As has been said many times before on this site......The bug will bite you HARD!!! Have fun

Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but Process West make a crossover replacement that can then utilise the Under Battery CAI. Not sure about the fit with the HDI piping but could be an option to look at RSK

Thanks senna. My concern at this stage is that the current clutch isnt going to last until I can afford the conversion as I am still a couple of months away from getting the dough together (unless KRudd wants to make another donation???). If anyone has any input on whether the same clutch can be used between the T5 and T56 it would help us out heaps.

I have a 03 BA XR6T with a 5speed manual. Over recent months I have been acquiring mods and plan to have them all fitted chasing low 300's in the near future. I also will be upgrading to the T56 box as well. A few weeks ago I loaded the CAPA 98Ron tune on the car and after a few days the 130000klm stock clutch started to slip and obviously is not up to the task. I returned the car to stock to reduce stress on it but the clutch is now slipping under heavy throttle on the stock tune. Getting to the point if I get the clutch replaced can the same one be used when I upgrade to the T56 (bearing in mind will be running low 300's)? If so does anyone have any recommendations on a good clutch to use? Car is mainly used as a daily driver so need something reasonably friendly on the street. Suggestions will be much appreciated. Cheers

Took it to Pedders who put in the new CV's/axles and repalced the upper control arm bushes. Its a lot quiter and smoother to drive now, only noises left is the backlash but never going to get rid of that.

Thanks for your help everyone. Looks like I'll be booking into Pedders next week to have it done. Cant wait to get it back and kick her in the gutsn again!!
-
Just been quoted by Pedders $880 fitted for the pair. This was for the CV & shaft. Was this what you were quoted on? What is this Pedders gear like as the bloke was claiming that these are supposed to be stronger than the factory ones??
-
Turns out the CV's are absolutley shot as well. Does anyone know what the average cost is to have these replaced?

Had my 03 BA T booked in to have the diff bush replaced yesterday as the exisiting one was completely shot. Had it replaced with a Nolathane bush. Picked it up to drive home and the clunking noises coming from the back end are now louder and more frequent than before I had it done. The clunking is now very noticable on every gear change (manual) and any change in throttle (off or on) whilst in gear sends more horrible noises into my ears. I havent had a chance to address this with the installer yet (not mentioning any names at this point) but what I was trying to establish is whether there could be other issues that anyone knows about that may be causing these noises (diff, axle etc.). I am not very mechanical minded and any suggestions would be very helpful. This has been the third place to look at the car now and the problem is worse now then when I started. The first tried to tell me there was no problem and that this was normal for fords. The next wanted a $1000 to replace the bush and the latest replaced it for $550 + part and told me when I picked it up that there were no other problems. Sorry for the long winded post but I really need to have this problem rectified so that I can spend my money on more productive things like increasing KW. Does anyone know of anyone in Perth who really knows there stuff and can provide me with a no Bulls**t answer and actually rectify this problem once and for all. Its my daily drive and not much fun shifiting at 2000rpm all the time

Seems to be a big variance in prices around the place. WA Diffs seems to be the go at this stage. Bailey Automatics - $900 - $1000 WA Diffs - $650 AD Diffs - $800 Lube Mobile - $1000

I have just moved to Perth and have the same problem ATM. Joined this site today to see if there were any ideas of places to get it done over here. Will keep you posted on any quotes I get through as well.
