Sorry to hijack the thread, but looking at doing the same thing: Anyone good with fibreglass? It would need to be adhered to the steel and then smoothed on the edges to the bonnet surface? Has anyone heard information of the paint cracking or blistering around the join due to heat differences though?

I have had a rattly 'nocking/wobbly' noise coming fromt front and rear when I go over bumps...Sounds like someone knocking on a font door (woody type nock/shuddering noise) I have had the bushes replaced with nolathane and pedders sports ryder shocks replaced at pedders. Car drives much better now but still have the nocking noise? Does this sound like pads?

I have had the exact same issue witha BA V8. Sort of sounds like a hollow wobbly nocking sound. When you hit bumps in front and back. Have just had shocks and nolathane bushes and diff mount from pedders. Still doing the same thing. Will be taking it back there Next week. To find out what it is? Very mysterious...

What is the suspension like that aftermarket companies offer in comparison to RSPEC? Might be looking into pedders sports rider or Extreme Coilovers.

Wasn't sure where to post this - When my 3 Valve V8 Fairmont Ghia is at 3000RPM I get an aluminium noise from under the car..sounds like a shroud vibrating? Does anyone else have this? Can I remove all shrouds or will it start melting the wiring looms.

As per my prediction made in June 29th - I wasnt too far off however I still reckon the GT-HOwill be a supercharged 5.8 with more power. (400kw?)

Have you thought about going aftermarket and Pocketing the difference - They look almost identical... When the fibreglass one needs respraying? then you can buy and the original back on?

I think the car spied was a 5.8 Supercharged GTHO? Why bother blowing the 5.0 lower capacity engine? when there is a 5.8 available.

I have two predictions: IU am predicting that the 5.8 wont be available in time for testing so they will have two series of releases: Series I Coyote: 5.0 XR8 - 310kw 5.0 GT - 325kw Then when the Stroker becomes available later down the track: Series II Coyote: 5.0 XR8 - 325kw 5.8 GT - 365kw 5.8 Supercharged GTHO - 375-400kw That makes sense...Then further power upgrades further down the track...

So 15k would be better spent on an FPV Or 15k on a blower and engine mods? Very confused..

Arent all the stipes either like a satin or matt finish.

Hey guys and girls, I currently drive an 04 3Valve V8 BA Ghia with an FPV kit and Pedders suspsion? Is it worth the $15k changeover on a GT or F6? Or am I throwing away 15k? Could I spend 15k better elsewhere? What do you guys and girls reckon?
