  1. Think it cost $3500 exchange.
  2. Stereo does not power up, door lock button does not work nor a/c fans pretty much the centre console. Tried another icc unit and luck. No fuses blown. Pins and plug is OK on the rear of icc unit. Key switch is not dodgy. Would like a wiring diagram so I can track the earth and power to rear icc plug.
  3. Ended up using dtm in Geelong guys were so good and the 4 speed is now awesome holding 580rwhp
  4. Going to get a btr trans built who does the best job and hp ratings. Looking to pull the engine up at 550hp as I don't want to go down the c4, turbo 400 or glide path there just out of the price range. I have got a quote off bta Motorsport so far they look pretty good. Have had no good reports from RVO.
  5. Under further investigation I found a cabin filter behind the glove box and it was blocked solid with leaves dust and junk.
  6. Thanks that worked holding the button in on the light switch on the centre console not the dimmer one on the gauge cluster.
  7. Got a BA 03 and the interior light will not come on when the door is opened, they will light up if the switch on the light is turned on. If you unlock the car the interior lights will turn on but not if the doors are opened. I have tried the trick with holding the dimming light switch in for a period of time with no results. Any ideas ?
  8. Got a 03 ba and the blower fan does work but does not put out a lot of air flat out it seems like it is just like it is low all the time.

  10. Heres the issue ive just built up a repairable write off car 03 BA auto with a killer engine. Now the nsw gov has changed the law and it is now demed a stat write off so now rego is near impossible . So I have purchased a 03 xr6t auto standard cheap and would like to swap my engine into the new found car, so I will need to bring over the ecu to keep the tune with it. My question is what other control units will have to come with it so there is no serial number conflics and security code violations? Im thinking premium sound and some sort of body management control.
  11. What mods, power limit etc is it then necessary to install a engine oil cooler if at all ?
  12. Im fitting spool pump gears in my oil pump, has anyone seen the extra port work done by atomic to the releave the oil pressure off in the relief valve.

  13. Ive just purchased new spool import conrods. Does anyone know if they are installed in a particular way eg numbers on the cap on the exhaust side.

I have been told the engine block has to have a inch plate bolted to the deck and the head studs tensioned down, as the bore will have distortion from the head studs being tensioned down ( two thou ovality ). Is this common practice?, The machine shops here have only heard of doing this in aeroplane engines.
  15. Sorry guys I didnt know you had to be a sponsor to sell things on here. There would not be that much room to fit the battery in the standard location. Yes the vacuum block does go with it. Sorry about the sponsor thing we better leave this post alone or if I can delete it.
  16. Hi guys I make these plenums to fit BA BF turbos to fit onto your standard inlet runners with a slight modification. Installation Instructions are supplied. They are lazer cut using marine grade aluminium and tig welded by a qualified engineer. On my BA XR6T I am seeing improved HP and harder hitting turbo boost over using the standard inlet. Battery relocation is required and lengthing of the throttle body harness. More testing on the dyno coming soon. My Plemun's are Sold for $650.00 with FREE freight.

Can anyone help ive blown a turbo bottom end up and have got a non turbo engine so I was hoping to use the crank and block from this engine and run a spool rods and cp pistons and my original turbo engine head. So my question is, is a non turbo engine crank the same as a turbo engine crank out of a BA. Thanks
  18. Does anyone know what there btr 4 speed trans shift points are set at ? eg are they set any lower than 200 milliseconds for 1st to 2nd change.
  19. Just had a rod let go and now have 3 inspection holes in the block and sump. Im wishing to buy a non turbo ba motor and ONLY use the block and crank and fit a spool kit to the motor. My question is are they they same spec?

  22. Wanting to check the cam timing anyone know the procedure. so far with the engine on TDC there are 2 dots on both cam gears and they are at 12 oclock position.
  23. Any idea what the spring tension spec should be above?
  24. Only second guessing weather the valve springs have been replaced or not as I do not know the full history of the car. only thing my tuner can find is a 8 psi drop through the hot side tubing will rectify and fingers crossed.
  25. Have brought a second hand xr6t ba mk1 and the old owner said it had the valve springs up graded and I need to be sure, with the valve cover removed the top 2 rows of the springs are painted blue does this sound like they are standard springs. Any help would be great.
