  2. Cost me $200 for the gate mod. I removed the turbine housing and gave it too him though. It would obviously cost more if he had top remove the housing for you. I didn't take a photo of the welded internal gate. He was very thorough thou, he welded it completely and even welded up the swing arm hole. If you are interested, check out his Facebook page, it shows a lot of his handy work, he does top grade fabrication work.
  3. Just thought I would share. Gavin from Garage48 phone: 0415 475 130 did the fabrication. He welded up the internal gate and welded on the pipe for the Tial 44mm external wastegate.   4. I like it. Don't know why everyone is being so negative about our last falcon ever. Who else makes a car for $45k that will hand it too a BMW m3 and haul the family in comfort. It is the end of an amazing car that has spoiled us with such performance.
  5. Falken fk452 would be a close second
  6. I have run Bridgestone, falken, Dunlop and Nitto Invo. The Nitto Invo is the best tyre I have used. They are quiet, grip really well in the wet and dry and you get reasonable mileage.
  7. You will NOT get traction with any road legal tyre, period. To much torque to the rear tyres in 1st gear.
  8. Disconnect the hose connected to your actuator. If you still reach 19psi your wastegate needs a flapper mod and a port.
  9. It is the gearbox. I have been told it is the lay shaft. It is not shimmed properly from tremac, but it is not a problem. My car has 125000km on it and no issues. It has made that noise since new.

  11. You need a curved pick, a torch and a mirror. Simply hook the circlip and pull. Easier said than done.

  14. From what I have read in wheels the xr6t will still be 270kw. With just improvements in fuel consumption and aerodynamics.

  16. As long as they are serviced regularly and well looked after you should not have any issues
  17. I read a tech article a couple of years ago stating that tube and fin coolers had a higher pressure drop across the core than a bar and plate of the same size. Meaning your turbo had to make more pressure to see the equivalent boost pressure at the inlet manifold. From what I understand it is a trade off either way.
  18. Stall it up on the brake and get some drag radials like Mickey Thompson et streets. They make a huge difference.

  20. I have a Fg XR6T with premium sound. Just this week it started cracking through the speakers on the drivers side only. It is random and very loud. I took it to Brad Garlic ford and the have said that there is a part in the ICC that has failed and it needs to be replaced. New units are about $1200 from ford. They advised buying a second hand unit from a wrecker. Has anyone had this problem before and attempted to fix it, or does anyone have any suggestions?
