  1. Nice work on the purchase mate. I'm looking for a bf turbo at the moment as well. Did you any chance happen to have a look at this one? LINKY If so, any thoughts?
  2. put a photo up and someone will tell you. are they black front calipers?? and are the rotors 330mm in height?
  3. 50.00 sounds great. including postage or put that on top??
  4. hey guys, my car is a stock ba xr6 turbo 5 spd manual. now I fitted boost guages a while ago just so I knew if I running the right amount of boost even though its 4 psi from factory. but today it came in handy. if you punch it and it goes to hit boost it will go to 2psi and then drop back to 0 but then later on it came good and was working fine again. its like the actuator is keeping the waste gate open. does this mean that its broken and it will need to be replaced. do I upgrade to a bigger one? also where can I get a new one? regards Jarrad
  5. thanks for all the reply's ill look into it all. well im not sure if it could be head or not. 1 there is no excess pressure in the cooling system, 2 there is no trace of exhaust gas in the reservoir. 3 car is running perfectly normal in temp range. I just went over all the radiator hoses to find the top left hose (10-15mm) in diameter loose with water marks running down it. will drive around for a couple of weeks and see if it has coolant level has droppped. tomorrow if I have time ill pull the plugs out and inspect them to see if its detonating with water in the chamber. also the car has a bit of a rough idle. its done 104000 now. and on the last service was at 93,000 for plugs. did oil last weekend. :-)
  6. hey guys got to pick your brains. now my old car was a 95 falcon. new car is an 03 xr6 turbo 5 spd when I purchased the car the cooling line that runs from the thermostat to the turbo (in the area) with the hose that joins the two together was split. so I replaced it and was working fine. couple of weeks later its loosing coolant :-S so I check over all the lines and there is no sign of coolant loss anywhere. this has been going on for weeks and am starting to think that the turbo could be using coolant? what could be the problem. its deff not that hose anymore but it seems I have to keep topping it up. what could it be???
  7. just asking a dumb question. just wondering how to do that. checked the hydro fluid tank and it was on min. so I topped it up but still no change. advice please??
  8. ok guys im a newbie and have been searching the forum all day for little tips ect, from what oil to use to bov's ect. I own a 03 xr6 turbo with 103000 on the clock and have been loving the car. got the diff rebuilt 2000kms ago new 330mm front rotors and pads rah rah rah. had the manifold studs come to loose 3 times but have fixed it using cone nuts :-D I use to own a 95 futura 5 spd and when the clutch would grip at the end of the stroke I adjusted it and it was fine being the cable clutch. sorry to sound dumb but can u adjust the hydrolic clutch at all?? ie put more of less fluid in or anything as the gripping point is at the end of the stroke and its annoying. car has a new clutch in it as of 4 months ago. I look forward and keen to learning more about my car on the forum some people really no there stuff :-) lincoln
