  1. thanks gents. to clarify though, I have no problem paying for a quality result... as long as my hard earned is actually going to someone doing what they say. with the way of the world right now people are trying to cut costs and jamming in a pre-done tune and getting onto the next one makes a lot of sense for tech shops. to respond to a few, people have a tendency to overstate their own results after coffing up for a tune. once the deal is done we dont want feel like losers for being being ripped off. if I had the time to stay with my car and see the whole thing then yeah, that would somewhat appease me... maybe I need to chuck a sicky! cheers beers
  2. nice man! I dig the wheels... good job!
  3. millions to these dudes is nothing. the V^ is going to be everywhere else and we are not immune (unfortunately) the the global markets. maybe I am wrong... we shall see though ehh?
  4. re-read your info lads... the I6 is dead - V6 is coming! also FYO: Ford is the only major manufacturer NOT going broke becasue they were able to refinance before the world turned to sh1t. The reason is emissions boys pure and simple, same reason why the GTR has gone V6. opens up possibilities for twin turbo's so not going to be the end ofthe world but personally I would get in an buy an FG with the I6 while you can.. ohh wait - I just did!!! cheers, beers.
  5. team, I have had my FG T for a couple of weeks now and I am used to the power... NEED MODS! anyway, have been digging around and plenty of the so call custom tuners seem to be anything but that... the feeling is they get a T, play around till they get a nice tune and save it. then you drive yours in, they plug in / dowload and its done. the only reason you wait 6 hours is so they can justify the $1000. I was quoted $1400 for a fair dinkum one "apparently" but I thinks its all horse sh1t. anyway, I am a sceptical b4stard so can anyone tell me how to prove they are actually custom tuning your car not just dumping one in there and belting you in the hip pocket? or is it just trust.. this is have a problemm with! cheers, beers.
  6. HA HA HA HA, why dont you try to get warranty on the paint for stone chips HA HA HA HA HA
  7. no roof, useless in the rain, I hate to be neggy but for $35k get a Harley D. just as impractacle and faster. \
  8. lurve the colour bro, well done it looks tits!!!!
  9. gents, I have heard (and read) that the SS inductions Growler kits are a waste of time and money, not resulting in any RWHP for XR6 T or V8 commy's for that matter. anyone here running one, how do you find it? what are some other (better) options that you have seen some REAL power increase in your T? I have seen some discrete black pipework coming from the splitter, up behind the headlight and straight into the airbox. looked a bit amature but the dude said it was RAD! anyone done anything like this here? cheers, beers.
  10. I have had absolutely brilliant, above and beyond service in the past... From brisbane BMW. when I had my 330Ci they guys were impeccable, sure it would cost me $1000 for a service but the were without fault. once even giving me a warranty claim when it was out of warranty (saving me over $4k) detailing the car and if they said it would be ready by 4:00pm they would ring me at 2:oopm to advise it was done, they were NEVER late and NEVER was a problem not resolved. I would happily pay a more for a service on my Ford by a dealer prepared to give me decent service.
  11. the rainy coast, sometimes wrongly called the sunny coast by people that dont live here...
  12. update: more broken promises and now the car wont be ready on Friday. seeing how my contract specifies a delivery date I told then to stick their car in their doots or give me a loaner until mine is ready. the sales grub said yes but we will see - if it doesnt I will buy elsewhere. also they have to refund my deposit becasue of the way I am financing the car, I spoke to them last week about it and they said fine, yet today the imbecile had forgotten about it. I have also spoken to the sales manager who is just as bad and full of sh1t, maybe worse at least the sales grub is nice on the phone. the reason I brought this all up is that everyone says the car industry is struggling and that dealers are falling over themselves to get biz. I dont see this translating, at all, to the sales staff and the way they should be dealing with clients. it aint just ford either, before I bought the T I have driven the Mitshi Ralliart (took three dealers to even to get someone to talk to me - and then the dude was a tool) driven the SS commy - even worse. It took me 5 ford Ford dealers to find one to bother to call me back after making an enquiry. I hope they all go broke bar one or two that actually know how to treat their customers, feel free to mention names of good ones so I know where to get mine looked after when I get it (if the b4stard ever turns up!).
  13. hi team, just wondering how you found your ford dealer when buying your xr? I pick up my FG T hopefully by the end of this week and the dealer has been absolute russish. not returning calls, I have to constantly chase them, telling me bullsh1t etc. needless to say I wont be going to them for servicing. anyone had any good experiences or good dealers out there. cheers, beers
  14. he probably just want it to blow smoke - he will be spewing once I have the fastest car at the office! 2 weeks to go !!!
