2010 F6 ute car was stock til bout 5000ks. I fitted PWintercooler kit, PW intake, injectors, 4inch into 3.5inch exhaust, Hi torque modded the flapper on the turbo. Hi torque tuned it and it made 356rwkw at 15-16psi. It has run this tune only until now at 13000k's. Not thrashed, maybe once a day at most I give one quick second gear pull on th eway home from work. I recently had pipes off the car and thought I would re check the turbo compressor to housing clearance by feel only. As did this check when I fitted the mods to the car. What I saw pooled at the bottom of the compressor housing got me worried.. Pool of oil..! The clearance was at least three times what it was at 5000k's! Doesn't look good, About to head back to hitorque and see what they think when I get time. Just thinking if it is dusted what is a good replacement turbo for these and how much..? Or is it better getting it repaired? Could be persuaded to go slightly bigger for a bit more HP.. Any info would be great guy's Sam

Just removed my intercooler and injectors off my f6 as Im selling car, im returning it to stock. Went to start the car after fitting all std gear, forgetting I had to change the Xcal3 setting back to stock, obsviously it wouldnt run right. So I went to plug the xcal in and change setting to stock but it wont get past this "Error needs to be reloaded"... Im currently stuck at work and cant get it running.. Any help would be much appreciated. SAm .

Cars up for sale guys, didn't end up getting it retuned. Reason for sale is I now need a 4wd, shame as just spent a fortune on this rig.. And I love every bit of it but it now has to go... :( Have listed it on the classifeds on this site if anyone is interested. Sam.

came up with error? bit green on this stuff. I think maybe it needs to be shrunk in size to upload?

sg2150 That's solid MPH!! 128!!! with good launch that's good for mid to high 10's!! So yours is stock internals, stock turbo with modded flapper,,?? I also have 275 mickeys to go on my rig after retune, but rims are to small over rear brakes..:( so looking to find some 17s. thanks mate, Sam.

Finally got the pic of old dyno graph up... Car's going back to hi-torque on Monday for PW surge tank/pump upgrade and retune. Had a three week wait to get the car in! Not doing valve springs at the moment, so hopefully they hold up. Thinking of going to the drags with it after, although just found out my old 275/15inch rims with M/T street radials dont fit over my brakes sh*t!!! I

I have an FG F6 ute also and was hoping to fit my old 275/15's mt drag radials off my previous S15, but no chance of squeezing em in. I didn't realize how big the brakes on these rigs are! Am now looking to source other rims and mt's. So to confirm, any standard xr6 17 inch rim fits? Thanks for any help guys!

This may be a bit off topic on our Ford Forums, hopefully someone out there can help out. Who does conversions on the coast? (2jz into S15) Looking for a shop who has experience in this in the past. Heard of Nizpro in Ashmore on the Gold coast, anyone here got any reivews on them? Any help is much appreciated!

Yeah I think im going back to fit the fuel pump and springs, Kent is getting back to me with a quote. So yours made solid numbers I heard! Awesome! On less boost nice!
-
It's going well mate, just cruising it really until I get the Pump and valve springs done. How did your tune go?
-
O really? Are they that weak? May change my mind of going to the track.. But really want a proper figure on how this thing goes.
-
It's going well thanks Mark, but im killing the new rear tyres.. tune is good, only thing is I forgot to see if they could tune the auto to shift harder. As it's stil shifting like stock. They can change how it shifts cant they? Did chiptorque do yours?
-
Im chasing the same info, but I may be going to the track in next month or so. Ive got a FgF6 ute auto with 6000km's just made 356rwkw, I also have some m/t et street radials to fit it (which it definately needs). Im thinking mph is going to be 115-122's? so if it launches well should be in 11's somewhere. Does anyone know how strong the drivelines in these things are? Cheers Sam.

Fitted the injectors this arvo and took it for a run, first thing I noticed was the car sounds 99.9% the same on idle and cruise tune which is great, driving around like it was a stocky apart from the exhaust. Turned at lights, cruised into second in the auto, then hit it and OMG.. instant powerslide.. found a quite spot to hit third and jesus, this thing rips, would shred my old heavily modded 200sx to pieces. All in all very happy with the job Hi-torque has done in tuning the thing. MY question is with these engines making this amount of power how reliable are the?? I know people are going 400rwkw with these rigs.. Im not consistently on the throttle but do like a bootful once a day, and looking to go to the drags one day as have some ET streets to suit this rig...

Had some issues with injectors this morning! Dropped it off at Hi torque for them to fit injectors and tune, got a call mid morning saying one of my new ID725 injectors is faulty straight out of the box! This put me in a spot of bother as I need this car today for work! And I didn't want to leave it over night while I sort out issue with supplier of the injectors and get a replacement. Kent came back after an hour with a solution, they scrounged up another 725 for them to tune with for the day. Although after tuning was done he would have to remove the 725's and put my std injectors back in and put the SCT back to stock setting's so I could drive the car home. With the tune obsviously saved into the SCT module. When I get my injector replacement (hopefully tomorow) ile fit the 725's back in and hit the high boost option on the SCT module. Problem solved.. When Kent called back in the arvo with the result I was stoked! He said it spun up a surprising 500rwhp, which if my calculation is correct is 373rwkw?? Obsviously they had to back it off as std fuel pump was on it's limit, so backed it off to 357 which I was overly happy with! Boost is on 16psi Will upload graph soon. They are higly recommending fitting the upgrade fuel pump for safety though. In the end very happy with Ken and Chris at the shop, for going the extra mile and helping me get my car done in one day and back on the road. Only thing was driving the thing home and not getting to put the foot down! Loving how easy it is to make power with these things! This is making another 50rwhp than my previous 200sx which was a pig to drive on the street.. this thing is a true streeter! Sam.

Hey Mark, Ces fitted the 3.5inch exhaust saturday, which im happy with, very good quality unit. Sound is good, although a bit droney at 2000rpm, but you can't have power without some downsides. Im booked in to tune car 7.30am tomoz, so fingers crossed, all goes well.. Will upload graphs after. Did you tune yours today? Sam

Was driving today and an engine light come on and I sh*t myself, found out it's only emissions light, indicating that the Cat is faulty.. Which makes sense as I have just fitted the dump and new cat. So would this be the O2 sensor picking this up? And how do I remove the light? Back to ford? Cheers guy's and thanks for the helpful info. Sam

Awesome Dre, This is similar to my setup, which is due for tune on tuesday, although I haven't done the fuel pump upgrade, however I am fitting the ID725c aswell were these a straight direct fit? did you need the spacers? Cheers Sam.
-
UNCLEWAL: THanks mate, so im assuming you have these type of injectors?? How did they perform? Did you get a good idle? Not rich? Im booked in for tune at hi-torque next tuesday so ile upload some dyno graphs when done.
-
Hey Mark, 400! mines a true daily which has to tow boats regularly..:( see you have upgraded your fuel pump.. which I haven't, I heard these are good to up to 340ish? also you have done the valve springs.. Did you have issues with the factory one's or was it safety orientated? Look forward to seeing how you go at Chiptorque keep us updated. Sam

Long story short, I had all the parts I needed to fit the intercooler and accessory gear at my place and was looking for a reputable place to do the turbo mod which obsviously I couldn't do. Heard they had done a few turbo fords so I got them to do the mod. Also I was chasing someone who knows how to tune these things on the gold coast area, but wasn't sure about these guy's. After I got the turbo work done I talked with Kent, who seems like a straight shooter and he told me of his last F6 they did at their shop. He seems to know these rigs quite well so. I will give these guys a crack at tuning it and see how it pan's out. SAm.

Hey Guys ive got a F6 ute 5500km ZF auto. Dropped it into Hi-torque last week, where they performed the 12psi actuator fitup and wastegate mod, very happy with there prompt service (as this is my workcar) I then picked it up and fitted Process west 2 intercooler kit, battery relo and PW race intake kit. Also fitted a XR6turbo developments 4inch into 3.5 dump and cat. Am happy with how everything turned out, although I have since booked it into CES for their 3.5 catback system. (ANy comments on this system would be appreciated) Am about to book it in with Kent at Hi-torque for a tune with the SCT, as he seems to know his way around these things. What power do you think this should make? Im fitting the new ID725cc injectors to, does anyone know if these fit straight in or do I need spacers? Thanks Guys.
-
from whative heard on this forum mate, the F6 injectors are good to up to and around the 320rwkw mark, So I think you will be fine with the stockies, cant see it going over 320rwkw with stock cooler/piping setup. Im currently looking at getting a larger set of injectors for mine but im fitting cooler kit etc. I also only have a the moment a 4inch dump and high flow cat whcih merges into a 3.5inch (xr6 turbo developments) but im now thinking ile fit a full exhaust what brand are you looking at? Im stumped on what to buy..
-
As above states, Just bought an xr6turbodevelopments pipe/cat and adaptor for my ute, and a Xcal3, thinking I might do the wastegate valve mod upfront before I get it tuned as I don't like spiking and dropping boost levels. So it means I dont have to go back again later to get I tuned. How bad is the boost spike/drop on these F6's? Any help would be appreciated, thinking of buying a cooler kit and intake aswell.. Not sure though.. Thanks Sam.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I haven't found any threads. I've got a new F6 ute, Im doing the mods myself, intercooler kit, exhaust, injectors maybe fuel pump.. and tune. Which im now stuck on as, my tuner who has done my previous cars, and who I think is one of the best in the business (matty spry P.I.T.S) hasn't flashed any of these rigs, so I'm now looking for a new tuner, on the preferably Gold Coast area or if need be brisbane. Matty's said Bob Ramano, Hi-torque performance and then Chiptorque (who I wont be using) hav eall had experience in these things. Now that matty wont tune my rig, it's thrown a spanner in the works, hopefully you guys can help out.. Any help is much appreciated. Sam.
