  1. Yes Ford Freak, those exact one, I do love my 5 spokes very much! DPE and 360 Forged make some nice rims too. Splurt....splurt
  2. Going to give this a go myself. I'm going to sand it back to clean it up, straighten any bent fins, pick out all the dry crusty bugs and spray it matt black. Anyone have any painting tips? Primer then a couple of thin coats?
  3. Lack of cave is unacceptable. Also for $6K id be ordering a set of ADV1s.
  4. Whose blue xr is that with the Varrstoens? Does the car have Brembos?
  5. Dont bother with them at Scarbs Toyota, bunch of f*cking muppets, and good luck getting them to move on price. You are better off going across the road to Lynford and dealing with them
  6. Go DBA5000 front rotors, probably cheaper than the Brembos from Ford.
  7. Going to start getting quotes on cartons out of the US. Will see how much a carton of black will cost then on-sell what I don't need for cost+postage. Hopefully works out cheaper than $24.95 a can.
  8. Bad offsets
  9. Yeh for $33 a can and you have to add freight, f*ck that.
  10. Hmmm thinking 18x10 +20 square with 275/35/18....
  11. Where are you located? Maybe a member with the 6/4 setup will let you test fit your wheels on their car to check clearance.
  12. Should ask them for 17x9 +25 all around. Not a bad wheel, weigh roughly 9-10kg depending on offsets and widths. Personally I would have waited to see if I could have got those 17" LMGT4s off ebay that I linked. Sub 8kg rims ftw!
  13. Set for $3500 brand new? Bargain, and do it.
  14. ^ They are actually relatively heavy than other 18" options out there, weighing in at 9.9kg/10.0kg for both offsets on offer. The Enkei RPF01 in the same size (18x8.5 +30) weighs in at only 8.6kg, quite a significant difference for wheels that cost the same. For brand new wheels the Enkei RPF01 is one of, if not the most, affordable light weight wheel around. Anyway found another set. Buddy Club P1 - 17x8/9 +35 (~8.2-8.5kg) with Racing Slicks - $1490 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/P1-Racing-wheels-17x8-9-5x114-Nissan-Silvia-S15-180SX-SKYLINE-Racing-Slicks-/320886337618?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab650f052 The 17" LMGT4s will be real light, the 18x8.5 +30, 18x9.5 +38 are 7.8kg and 8.2kg respectively.
  15. Go 18s, better choice of widths.
  16. Here is a massive selection from ebay. 17. Depends on how much you are willing to spend. Probably best to run a square setup rather than staggered. TSW Nurburgring - 17x8 +35 (~8.7kg) TSW Interlagos - 17x8 +32 (~8.1kg) Enkei RSM9 - 17x9.5 (~8.4kg) Enkei RPF1 - 17x9 +22 (~7.4kg) or 17x9.5 +18 (~7.6kg) Enkei RP03 - 17x8.5 +30 (~8.7kg), 17x9.5 +38 (~8.9kg) 5zigen FN01R-C - 17x9 +15 (~8.1kg) My pick would be the Enkei RPF1s.
  18. Looks great! Black really suits
  19. You can go staggered, message jimmixr, he got his in 20" a little bit cheaper than that. Think 19x8.5 +20 and 19x10 +40 should be fine.
  20. Wheels you linked aren't too bad.
  21. Just checked my fronts, I have roughly 20mm from the edge of the rim to the outside of the guard, so if you wanted to roll/pump your fronts and run a little bit of camber you could run the following in 19s. 19x8.0 -1 19x8.5 +5 19x9.0 +11 19x9.5 +18 19x10.0 +24 The 19x10 +24 might not have the required clearance on the inside however, so 19x10 +21 would probably be better. Our cars (FGs at least) can run some very similar offsets and widths as the 350z, so a good place to find high quality rims for good prices is the my350z forums, provided you can get the guys to ship to Aus I think Tocchi was running a 19x10 +22 on his XR8 with some camber in the front. It seems quite possible that you could run a 19x10 square setup even on the sedans with the correct offsets, camber adjustments and guard rolling/pumping, and maybe even an 11 in the rear. Looking at a set of the Varrstoen TE37 reps in 19x9.5/10.5 +22, however have been told that the 9.5 +22 will not clear the 6 pot Brembos.
  22. Looks sh*t, hence why he changed his wheels
  23. You cant run 22s as the tyres required will either exceed the allowable increase in rolling diameter or not meet the minimum load rating for the car. Maybe I should make a new thread with just info and facts and have it locked.
  24. A box provided it is no more than 12 cans per box, depending on price as well
  25. They would tuck in, as in sit well and truly inside the guards in the rear, look kinda funny.
