Any advice for us manual plebs? Obviously practice, but anything else to keep in mind? My 60ft times are keeping me out of the 12s!!!

Forgot to mention it is stock and hasnt seen a dyno. Used the built in 'launch' control but it just bogs down, best 60ft time was a 2.2 Only had 4 passes with t/c off so still trying to find that sweet spot. I either get a 2.2 or just get no traction haha Very impressed with the trap speed though, highest was 182km/h with consistent 180km/h passes.

Might have to go get my XR8 tuned for next year, but still expect to get pumped by you turbo guys haha. Ill also try not to be a shy pussy and come say hi. Was 0.62km/h off the trap speed of SRT8 that was there but had a faster time over the 1000m. Also had a higher top speed than an LSA GTS and an LSA Maloo ute. Pretty happy with my results but I think I could have done a bit better. Really wanted that 220.

Yeh I noticed heaps were just gunning almost from the start. Tomorrow is going to be killer. Anyone else dissapoint about no Jet trucks??

212.39km/h was my best for today. Pretty happy since this is my first time at an event like this. So impressed with the event so far, smiles for miles and soooo much car porn!

Hey guys, hope you are all having fun! Only have done a 400m and 800m run so far in my XR8. Its pretty awesome they text you your trap speeds. Only managed 203.39km/h over 800m. No idea if that's any decent but car is completely stock. 1st car I was up against was RB LOL hahaha

Tempted to get a set of those in 19s for my xr8 TomT, buuuttt im looking at Work Emotion CR 2Ps 19×9 +24 R Disk 19×10 +40 A Disk Matt gunmetal with matt black anodized barrels.

Do you want to run 18 or 19 inch? 18x8.5 +32 18x9.5 +30/38 19x8.5 +30 19x9.5 +30/38 The 9.5 +30 offset will sit a smidge outside the guards but can be fixed with a rear camber kit. You will be looking at the Work D9R, it is the successor to the XD9. Quick search on ebay and you will find them for 19x9.5 = $351/ea, 19x8.5 = $337/ea, 18x9.5 = $337/ea, 18x8.5 = $322/ea

Your 20s struggle because they have a very small inner barrell. I would not be suprised if there were a few 18s that they would fit under.

You do realise that all the XR6 Turbo is, is essentially an NA car with a turbo? 533nm of Torque is available from 2000rpm in an FG Turbo, where the XR8 ONLY has 520nm at 4750rpm. Not much 'spool' time there, considering more torque is made 2750rpm EARLIER than the 5.4

Again not quite true. Rolling times for the Turbo are better than the 5.4s, and the Turbos are quicker off the line. I dont see how the 5.4 has more 'instant' power than the Turbo.

Not quite true. My stock auto FG Turbo pulled a higher dyno figure than a stock manual FG XR8, same day, same dyno.

9.5 +40 is not aggressive. 19x9.5+30 will work and you wont need guard work, 20x9.5 +30 should be fine too.

I would. Other options out there. If you would settle for 19s look at the AME Tracers on ebay, come in nice offsets and 9.5/10.5 staggered at around $2500 delivered.

Yeh bleed nipples sit up top. Could be the brake pad pushing on the disc if the pistons havent been pushed back in properly? Excuse the dirt lol. Front Left Rear Left
