  3. Hi all I have been having some problems with the gear/lever mechanism on my drivers side electric window. I have broke 4 units, it keeps on snapping the plastic roller that the cable sits in. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. And if so what was your solution to the problem. It is really annoying me and im getting sick of buying the same sh*tty swap over bits from ebay. Thanks

  6. Yeah I was thinking it was something like that, I just had a look on ebay and priced a motor and actuator kit bout $70 buck delivered which I think is pretty good. I will go into Ford and see how much they would charge, should be funny. Thanks for the help.
  7. Hi all Have just got a big problem with my auto drivers side window. I press the button to go up and down and nothing is happening, I can here the motor turning over but the window does not move a inch. First it was really jerky in its movements and now it doesnt move at all, it also ripped some of my tint off down the bottom. I am guessing that the motor is shagged but I am wondering how difficult it will be to fix and whether I can by a replacement or will I have to go to Ford to get it fixed.
  8. Yeah very nice Gasman, they were on my shortlist too. I got pretty crappy rubber to get my price down a bit, (and to keep the missus happy) cant wait to get some good rubber on in the future.
  9. Cheers Guys Well Im pretty sure ive decided on which line im going to take with my XR. Seeing as I am not looking at insane amounts of power, I will be going with the Process West S2.1 package deal with a SCT tune from my local performance store. I just like the look of the PW kits, to me they seem finished better then others I have looked at. Ive already got a Xforce cat back twin 2 1/2 and a upgraded fuel pump with some 60lb deakins to go in, so without doing anything else apart from the cooler kit and tune I am hopeful for around 300rwkw. Just a question though, the local mechanics around this area charge an arm, leg and a kidney so I am planning on installing the cooler kit myself. After install, would the car be able to be driven to the performance store without causing any problems? Its only around 10km of 60k limits.
  10. Hi all Well I finally got around to buying some wheels and tires for my Xr. Took me a long time to convince my better half to let me get them. I was deliberating between a few choices, Advanti, Advan, Enkei but after finding out these brands are around $700 plus per wheel I decided to go with the Speedy Fin FS 01 in 18 x 8.5 fitting with some cheap 245 wide rubber, Rotalla is the brand. (Dont know if they are good or bad) Ended up getting the package for $1620 with a set of lock nuts as well. I got them from Actions Tires on the Goldy, travelled 650kms to get them too. My local area was $300 more expensive and said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get the rims, Action Tires was over night from Sydney haha. I am super happy with the look of the car know, it gives it a bit of a racer look which was the plan. So next on the agenda is a stage 1 or 2 Process West kit and a tune although it might take me a while to get approval for that one. Hope ya'll like.
  11. Hi all I am fitting new rotors and pads to my car which has the standard ba PBR 2 pot calipers. I applied brake pressure while the pads were out and noticed on both front calipers that only one piston released out. Upon pulling them out I also noticed that one piston was a lot freer then the other, (the other could barely be moved) Just wondering if this is normal or should I remove all the pistons and give them a good clean out.
  12. Happy Birthday turbopro!

  13. Interesting thoughts guys, the vacuum leak was checked but no leaks seen or heard, the dude showed me the fuel hose that was pulled out, damn thing was nearly split from one end to the other. Back on the road now and going like a bat outta hell, and whether it was the coils or the fuel line, there is no cut out at 4 grand in 3rd, 4th or 5th so im happy as larry. Although the $100 per hour sevice fee wasnt the nicest thing to see on paper, but in a town with 2 performance shop wat can ya do. Now for that left over money, wat to do wat to do.
  14. Just wondering guys and gals why does the parts for sale section say it has 106 entries and I can only see about 3 pages (around 50) of items for sale?
  15. Sounds like a good idea, but it already had a walbro gs340 put in it, and it turns out that it wasnt put in very well. The outlet hose from the pump itself wasnt put on properly and done up too tight, it split and came off, hence the 20bar of pressure at idle instead of 60. hahahaha god damn that mechanic ill have to sake him, oh right it was me, hahaha But at least it wasnt a big bill only labour costs so all is good, now more money for fast bits. :rl:
