Yep the air valve controllers deep down inside the air con on a dual climate control car one side breaks and you will need to dissasmble just about the whole dash to fix it

178 000 km and I change the oil every 50,000km I have been using gulf western oil the factory fill is hideously expensive for oil

Mine is a bit of a boat as it weighs heaps but it certainly improved with small upgrades , I have fitted bilsteins allround with a kmac rear swaybar , it has taken the heavy toolboxes from controlling the handling in bends and kept it much flatter , which I personally like
-
Has anyone actually fitted 3.25 diff gears to a fg turbo ute, mine has a tray back and its normal drive around weight is 2300 kgs , its recently started to give trouble in the zf gearbox and im told its the clutches in the auto not liking the weight So I thought shorter diff might help Thoughts

A down side to the v8 bonnet I just fitted is the try hard Late model camira onwers now see the bulge and want to line up my ute , this never happenned with the standard bonnet , they must think my cars a v8 5.4 and that they have a chance or something in the interest of keeping my licence its a bit of a sh*t to turn them down
-
Seriously if your car has done 70k u must consider this upgrade I have two turbos of 2009 vintage and both coolers have failed thankfully I am diligent about checking coolant resevior and have caught them b4 damaging transmissions in both csaes If u do have on fail dont drive it and coontact active automatics at blacktown he has saved both my transmissions speak to richard He is a good guy and been fantastic with his knowledge and help in both cases

Yep I gotta admit it ,it puts a bloody big grin on my face when I can steal the keys the h&r coils and the bilsteins are probably the best upgrade you can do to one when I first got it it was a bit boaty , but I just love the way it points now, The brake upgrade is nice o have thou So should I change the cat or fit a new dump pipe
-
The car has 6 spot brembo's on the front Ford territory rear brakes same as the cop cars Bilstein shochs H&R lowered coils Fpv dash Full leather and all the usual I have just got a f6 intercooler with some upgrade injectors I want to change the cat to a hi flow or should I just buy a dump pipe complete with cat My wife doesnt know it yet but she really needs around 300 rwkw lol My wife's girl friend who doesn't like big cars and didn't understand why anyone would want such a big car drove one the other day and is now badgering my mate for one She loves the grunt he reackons
-
Hi , I own a XR6 ute and a G6ET. And I love the luxo feel of theg but it didnt take me long to put some h&r coils and bilstein shocks in it plus some 6spotters and the car now fills all my joys It about to get injectors a f6 cooler and dump pipe / cat then off to the tuners Im hopping for 300 kwrw But to answer your question id go a g it really hits the spot

Had the same problem new shaft with f150 hd centre bearing and cv and the thing was a bloody nightmare at 100 kph on the freeway So I took it back to the guy that did it I was not happy so he put my car up on a four post hoist and took offthe rear wheels and held ute up on diff housing thenhe got a velcro stran tapped a weight to it and wrapped it around the back of the tailshaft Put a dial indicator against the chassis and spun it up moving the weight around the shaft till the car got smooth It feels ok but im not sure if this is the right way to do it I need to get it on the freeway and drive it up there again
-
(suggest you stay from places like Thailand etc) Lol yeah that's works Really dont go much for a sex life that's a pain in the arse,
-
No my claim is that the tune was upgraded to give F6 performance from the package that was there ,please read my earlier post My last question was is there a fundamental difference between ute pcm and g6e pcm
-
Interesting he said it was a big favour ,this guy I deal with is bullsh*t cluey , u probably know him, If you do ask him yourself There are not that many guys im sure in the circle As far as its not a f6 tune wtf if it walks like a duck ,quacks like a duck , its a .......? I really dont. Give a sh*t as I said it is what it is But is sure as hell frightens the f..k out of HSV.s I was told its good for 275 kwrw I asked for the tune to be put into my ute and he tells me that he cant, your thoughts
-
I dont really know. How the guy did it but I was present and there was a bit o toing and froing and the tune definately came from ford The identity of my pcm was established at the time , it was also a gift done as a favour to my mate for me Bionic im not doubting your creds ,but are you saying this cant happen If you are that on the in you probably know who did it

Heres the thing The tune in my car car from ford as a drop in tune from a guy who did the the development tune for ford and was emailed to my tech from said guy It has seriously picked up the cars performance with more boast and performance to boot my g6e has an fpv dash fitted and the car runs smooth and clean The young bloke was slightly mis informed in that yes the tune came from ford and it was described to me as a tune that would be a equivalent to the f6 tune I can assure the knockers that yes the tune works and works well and yes it was a drop in tune From what I was lead to believe this guy did the original tuning for ford and the cars could have easily been released with this tune but was considered to much for reliability for mums and dads to tow thirty foot caravans etc Please feel free to flame away as I don't really give a sh*t, it is what it is ,
-
Hi has anyone found a way to open the boot without using the key fob ,its bullsh*t that you have to get keys every time u want to open the boot
-
Dont know but running at 2380 kgs still upsets the clubsport folk
-
Hi have you considered doing the upgrade of fitting ford territory rears they are 30mm bigger than fg ute and ventillated with much bigger pads same as the cop cars run

My seat-of-the-pants-ometer puts the g6et ahead in straightline performance, especially the 80-120kph sprint, but handling is a different thing altogether, the 335i is leagues ahead. Makes me want to reprioritise my spending away from more power toward more stability (is this just a g6e thing?). My last car was a Legacy (Liberty in Aussie) B4 Blitzen, with it's factory Bilstein suspension it handled a sh!tload better than the g6e and the 335i is a sh!tload better than the blitzen. Hi I fitted bilsteins and h&r coils in my G6ET Which lowered it 30 mm and fitted the 6 spot brembos and territory rear brakes and gt rims With these upgrades I just love the thing some of my mates are into beamers and one has an ISF etc and think im a bogan , they dont know what hit when it goes by em

By a Eaton true track from the states about 600 delivered to your door then find some one to fit it it here ,the factory lomo is clunky and no where near as usefull on the road
