  3. Wheel are definitely not just wheels. In the Territory they will be hauling around a 2 tonne+ car. Under normal driving conditions they might be ok, but if you hit a pothole or a sharp bump I have heard of guys buckling and shattering all their rims at once! It is not something you want to guess with, as your insurance may be void and you could be liable for personal injury caused to others.
  4. no bad luck myself yet. however, I know it is just a matter of time until something happens.....pricks everywhere.
  5. Yep, definitely get it looked at asap, brakes are one thing you dont want to guess with...
  6. leaking windscreen seal? I have heard of this on territory's, passenger footwell fills up with water...
  7. I just bought a territory and am getting worried about rust, after looking around at lots of forums it appears that they are quite prone to leaking and rusting in certain areas... Any other places to look out for?
  8. I have had a look around and went to tech 9 tyres today over here in O'Connor in WA. Seems that if you want to fit the brembos to a set of 20" plus wheels you need to spend about $5g's cos they need to be load rated. Looks like I am going to have to get rid of the brakes and get some nice 22's, $3200 incl tires and fitting is not too bad. Advanti Sabotage's look the goods to me, any other suggestions?

    Your First Car?

XF Falcon wagon. Red. Tried killing it so many times but it refused to die!
  10. Probably last week when I wrote off my 1 month old turbo. I am not a happy chappy!!!
  11. Hi all, I have some nice brand new 4 piston brembo's with drilled and slotted rotors which were meant to go on my xr6 before it was written off, now I am thinking of putting them on my new territory. It is a rwd one so all that is needed for them to fit is longer brake hoses which will be pretty reasonable to get put on them. Only thing is I cant seem to find any rims that clear the brembos to suit territory. I have called around to a few shops and as soon as you say Brembo everyone says they dont have any. I would prefer machined lip with black inserts if anyone has any ideas, but will look at anything 20-22inch. If I can't find any rims I will just have to sell them, anyone keen for them? Brand new and I can organise freight at your expense. Located in perth. Cheers Lorenz
  12. Hi guys, I recommend spending the money and getting a genuine Ford Falcon/Territory audio booster kit off eBay. It only cost me $80 but is worth it because it comes with an in-built amp booster, so you get better quality sound at normal volumes, because the other ones you have to turn up heaps to even hear the music... I bought it off a seller with the ID Knoxford, highly recommend it, only took me 20 minutes to install too! Hope this is some help
  13. Flash Tuner - $650 Tune -$800 Injectors - $570 Fuel Pump - $350 Power stat - $35 Cold Air Induction - $150 Valve Springs - (Recommended if over 70,000k's) $895 These should bring you to around 290rwkw, add Exhaust $1,500 to reach around 320rwkw. *All prices include labour by the way...
  14. I would recommend the 4 pot Brembo upgrade. I picked one up off ebay for $1,800 which was for a brand new front kit including calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, lines and all mounting requirements to fit to a ba falcon. Fitment is super easy. Definitely worth considering in my opinion Lorenz
  15. Vibrations are gone now, all good. Very noticeable difference in acceleration and smoothness now. Awesome post!
  16. Just did mine, can feel a real difference but it feels like there is a vibration as it goes onto boost? Is this normal? My car has 90,000 on the clock and it is the first time I have done it, no other mods yet. Usually the power comes on really smoothly but when it comes on now it feels like there is a slight vibration? Any ideas guys?
  17. Cheers our06T, These temps do not seem to bad, 130-150 F is around 54-65 C, 180 F is around 82 C and 210 F is 98 C. I assume that they are significantly lower than the actual temps in the transmission though, as it is coming straight out of the trans cooler. Does anyone know what temp range would be like if the gauge was connected directly to the transmission oil in the transmission itself? Also, what would be the critical high temp in this case where I would shut down the car to avoid any damage? Just thinking that a reading from the actual transmission would be more accurate and immediate than a reading from the trans cooler outlet.... Thanks heaps though!!!
  18. Hi all, Just wondering what kind of transmission oil temp range the BA 4spd box gets? The reason being I am looking at buying an oil temp gauge from ozegauge but its range is from 50-150 degree's, will this range cover the trans oil temp range? Or do I need to buy a special trans temp gauge? If anyone has used the ozegauge for trans temps can you let me know how it went? What temps with the transmission would you consider too high and shut down? I will fit a big trans cooler to get temps down but want to keep an eye on it just in case. Thanks for the help Lorenz
  19. This be my first Ford. Just sold my fully worked '83 Chev Camaro Z28 to buy my turbo, now just gotta give the engine some serious power
  20. I emailed him this arvo coincidentally and got a reply within 2 hours, so he is definitely still going. Must not have gone through to him. I will be ordering the tripod setup off him if we can come to a good price, gauges are so freakin expensive!
  21. I take the abovementioned about eBay back, just had a proper look and found what I wanted in 5 minutes. Actuator = $130.00, Foglights = $70.
  22. I have had a look on eBay but there was nothing there, might have to keep checking over the next couple of days, but would rather pay some more and get it done asap than keep watching and waiting to save myself $100. Reckon I can tackle the door lock actuator myself or is it best left for an auto sparky? Thanks for the help everyone by the way, these forums are pure gold, I reckon people would have saved thousands from all the info on here. Top stuff!
  23. Does anyone out there have any idea where I can get some fog lights for my '04 XR6T? Also the front drivers side central locking is stuffed, needs new motor. Anyone know where I can get these? Local Ford Dealer quoted me $350 for the drivers side c-locking motor and $220 for replacement fog lights, which seemed a bit steep for me. Any aftermarket lights maybe that might fit? Any help with this would be much appreciated, especially if in WA....
  24. Yeah, sorry, forgot to mention I am in WA, so if you can recommend anyone over here to see let me know. I have heard that Simon at Xtreme Ford Tuning is pretty good, any other suggestions?
  25. Hi Everyone, first post on here. Just bought an '04 XR6 turbo, mechanically standard. Need to soak up some of your experience and want to know the best modifications to make, for power and reliability with a limited $8k budget? I was thinking of spending $5k engine mods, $1,500 on brakes $500 transcooler and $1,000 on miscellaneous expenses that pop up?
