Thanks for the info. So if I just got an CAPA EDIT and custom tune, then later decided to get injectors does that mean I have to get another custome tune?

Hey guys, I'm bit of a novice when it comes to Turbo's and when I discoverd that so much more power can be extracted from a standard T with hardly much effort or money I was convinced. From reading through this forum, I think the best and cheapest setup would probably be a CAPA flash tuner edit plus 42lb 25mm racetronix injectors. This would cost a total of about $1350 and I believe would achieve between 250 - 270 rwkw. I have a few questions. 1 - Does a dealer actually install the edit and injectors for me, or do I have to install the edit and injectors myself? 2 - Will my Ford dealer know that I have an EDIT or different injectors? 3 - what other costs are invloved apart from the actual flash tuner box and injectors? e.g labour or more parts Thanks for any repsonse.

I have changed the suspension yet my dealer are still happy to even perform non waranty jobs and cover it under warranty. I feel that it's the dealers decision what they cover under warranty. My advice, try another dealer. But if FORD say the warranty is void then the warranty is void. If your lucky then a differnet ford dealer MAY do the work for you...hoping to get your future business. I have found that if I give my dealer a bunch of things to check on every service then they generally will fix the issues under warranty. Good luck

Hey guys, I was cruizing around with a F6 Typhoon last night. Never spoke to the driver but it's the first time I have actually seen an F6. The turbo sounds unreal, it had this loud wyning type noise when reving high...........that sounded tough. Just wondering if there is any way to get a standard T to sound the same? maybe a pod filter? cheers

awesome. By the way I went for a ride in R33 Skyline with the boost at 14psi and there is no way it goes fatser than a stock XR6 T. I had to pretend it was fast becuase he is my best friend (and took him years to save up the money) and I didn't want to burst his bubble that skylines are faster.... mwwwwuuuuhhhaaaaaa

So has anyone ever had any trouble with warranty stuff after having any of these mods done?

Hello boys, Can you guys help out a newbie, I'm considering the APS phase 1 kit. I know that it's about a 60kw increase at the flywheel and that with the Phase 1 kit this includes bigger injectors, but...... How much real difference is this from standard? Anyone had any problems? and how does this effect the warranty or insurance?

I have been in the Army for 10 years now and have served in a Asia, I can tell you now that Aussie diggers do not hold any grudges against any race or any nation (that's the great part about being an Aussie), and racism is definately not tolerated AT ALL (0 tolerance). I understand that this could be a sore spot for some people and its ok to express it, however what happened in WWII beteween Australia and Japan is in the past according to the defence force and it's members. MRSEX: Yep, I'm only looking for a Supra, love the look, nice to drive (non turbo). I was thinking about an skyline or 300zx, but there are to many around. I have checked with Toyota on the parts situation and they reckon that most parts have to be ordered which can take a few weeks. So now I just have to find an importer. If you could recommend someone that would be great. I will miss my T dearly. cry cry

I love my T, but its draining me financially (repayments), there are some other ventures that I need some cash for so I'm looking at importing a supra or skyline for about $20,000, I still think the T is an awesome car but these imports have the same bang for half the buck. I must admit I have checked with all the people I know that have imported........and there pretty nice cars, I guess the importers dont want to import crap and get a bad reputation. I have rung around for insurance. Shannons wouldnt insure me becuase I'm under 30 and not in a car club? but I did find a place in Melbourne that will insure a Supra for $1100 plus $1800 excess (if it's my fault), I reckon this is reasonable. Hey guys, I work for tech support for optusnet. if that happens all you do is disconnect and reconnect and that will change your IP address. For you info whats happening is that one person (a geek from his laptop in a garage) has a port scanning program. These programes will scan probably about 100,000 internet users online constantly by sending little 'pings' over the phone line looking for an available port on your computer to hack into, everytime a ping hits your computer Norton will display a message and make you think your being hacked when infact your not being hacked just pinged.....................however these programes send out thousands of pings per minute and probably report back to the user thousands of ports. not many ports would be available and the chances of someone hacking your pc is very unlikely and even more remote if your running a firewall (like Norton). So chances are that the user who is pinging you doesnt even know that they have pinged your compter. Also if a virus has infected a computer, then that virus can be running a port scan without the user even knowing. Also smart hackers will block there IP address so it wont display any IP adress or the wrong IP address. So the IP address you have wont really do much. Basically, if a proper hacker wants yo hack you, you wont even know about it. Hackers dont want general computers, they want company networks. Hope this clears things up. I deal with this stuff all day :-)

Hey guys, I was thinking about painting my brake callipers red but there is that big ugly grey looking plate the covers half of the callipers, so there is no point really unless that plate can be removed. Has anyone from here removed that plate? thanks

MY GOSH.............I have the same problem. I though I was just driving like a girl (no offence). Also I find when I have the air con running and if I depress the clutch so the engine starts idleignthe revs drop to about 200rpm for a second then increase to 750rpm again...............weird, me EF did exactly the same thing, it never got fixed

This story has really p******d me OFF I stayed at the Romada Pier Hotel at Glenleg foreshore in Adelaide for 2 nights about 2 weeks ago. I couldnt find carpark anywhere near the hotel so decided to use the hotels vallet parking service.................WHAT A MISTAKE!!!. I picked up my car 2 days later and there was this industrial acid like crap all down 1 side of the car, they said it would just wash off. It was raining at the time so I took their word for it but made sure they noted the condition of the car and took plenty of photos of the damage. They did admit this has happened before. Anyway 2 days later was the first free time I had to wash my car and guess what.......not only had it eaten into the paint but the rear windscreen aswell. I called the Hotel and guess what........"its not our responsibility, its the builders fault".........so I asked if I could have the name and number of the contact person of the building company and guess what.........he doesnt have any contact details. Anyway I have had it repaired, a cut and polish and a few other little things was all that was required and the total bill came to $165. any advice to get these !@#$%^^ to pay would be appreciated.

Hey turbo6man.............thanks for the tip but I cant find that philips head screw that you were talking about. Also the 2 adjuster knobs are for the outer lights only. one knob is for verticle the other is horizontal.................non of these adjusters moves the inner high beam at all...............trust me I have been at it all afternoon. I still cant adjust the inner high beams

Hey guys............I did a search but didnt find a thing. I just replaced all my front globes with artic blue globes but now I need to adjust the beams. I found out how to do adjust the outer lights ok, but have got no idea how to adjust the inners. I need to adjust them becuase at the moment the left had side is up and the right hand side is over to the left..............ITS A sh*t FIGHT!!!! any help would be appreciated. cheers

hey dude, brake dust is a pain but I use the high pressure soap at a car warsh and it takes about 30 seconds per wheel once a fortnight. works great.
