  1. sorry mate, I didnt mean to thread steal, just if id save $400 - $800 would be fantastic, thanks for your opinion. I think I might go that way first, then if I dont think its good enough, ill add the fancy line converter module.
  2. I just have the question in regards to the sound quality of just running a simple line converter to an amp's hi-pass filter, is it decent enough doing it that way? or is there greater benefits to be gained from using something like RF 360 or Alpine PXE-H650 ($400 - $800 worth)?
  3. is there any place online, or particular stores that sell that LC6i line converter? im just weighing up my options
  4. Yeah that was my thoughts, have it set up so all ill have to do is add the other parts to the boot for the 2nd stage and thatll be it. thanks for mentioning it though
  5. Yeah that budget is out the window atm, looking to do it in two stages now. Will do the 4 speakers inside, 4ch amp, RF module (if its not easy to add a h/unit to an FG) first, then 2nd stage will be the sub, mono amp, capacitor.
  6. thanks mate, I just wanted to make sure I was pairing them up with a quality sort of amp so they dont sound like crap haha
  7. do u guys know if theres something like this available for FG falcons? I was going to get the Rockford 360.1 so I would have rca's but apparently they have just doubled in price due to the exchange rate I.e $400 to now $7-800 :(, so I am now looking at possibly putting in a headunit instead. cheers
  8. hey smicky dude ive changed my thoughts a bit lately, went out listened to quite a bit of gear, really like that Focal stuff, quality is very good. What amp would u reckon to pair with a set of 165VR focal splits, I was looking at grabbing an Infinity Reference Series 4 channel amp. I also listened to some of the focal subs, damn they just blended in so nicely with the splits, definitely considerin one of them too (the 27V2).
  9. well im looking at this setup now (ill have to save more or hit my C.C more ) but im sure itll be worth it: Pioneer TS-D1720C splits Pioneer TS-A1672S coax Pioneer GM-D8400M mono block Pioneer GM-6300F 4ch Rockford Fosgate T110D2 sub Rockford Fosgate 360.1 *insert capacitor here* plus box, amp wiring kit, speaker cable just have no idea with those capacitors, pretty much if I cant afford it, ill probably skip it but I will try to.
  10. Cheers for the advice, only thing left to ask is what capacitor would u recommend? cheaper the better.
  11. Cheers for the heads up, so im probably better off going for a lesser sub to allow more cash for better amps. Or I could just skip replacing the rear speakers which would then cut out one set of speakers and id only need a 2ch amp. 2 questions, are splits easy to put in the front of an FG falcon and whats the advantage of using Caps?
  12. hey im a new proud owner of a FG xr6t, I opted to just go for the standard audio system and thought id just upgrade the speakers and add a sub. I am looking at the following system: Rockford Fosgate T1 12" sub Rockford Fosgate 6" Power series coaxials x 2 (front and rear) Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.1 audio processor Jaycar Response mono block amp Jaycar Response 4x50w amp If I didnt get the premium audio, is there still a place to put a tweeter if I got splits for the front? or would I have to cut a hole for them? if I dont have to cut anything out I would opt to put a set of spilts in the front (say a set of pioneer) and just have the coaxial in the rear. The budget I was working on was about $2.5k all up including install. The reason for the jaycar amps is because I got access to very cheap pricing for them which makes them unreal value for money. Your opinions of the system im thinking of?
