  1. thanks 4 reply. I have driven the car and it sounds and feels good. That being said, I am not a mechanic who could pick out a potential problem, and unfortunately me and my mechanic live very far from the dealership, so only thing I could do is get a comprehensive check done by racv which costs non members $266. If everything ends of being fine then I'll probably buy it. At the end of the day, its under ford new car warranty for another 1.5 years, so if something happens, ford should have me covered. Anyone have any experience dealing with ford warranty if something happens?
  2. of course I dont. Im just asking if any1 else has bought an ex rental. You could get lucky or you can screwed, but if its still under warranty maybe its worth the risk.
  3. hey lads, new to forum. pretty keen on buying an ex hertz rental 07 bf2 mkii xr6. Its done 43k, comes with 12 month rego, still has ford warranty till august next year, service history, 4 new tyres, good clean condition, never been in accident, the hertz guy said that they only sell the good vehicles at their dealerships, the ones in bad condition/been in accident get auctioned off. $21k. Im a bit skeptical about it being an ex rental, could have been thrashed etc, I guess you never know with used cars... Just wanted some extra opinions. I figured that since its still under ford warranty for next 1.5+ years, I should be sweet? Should I get it RACV inspected? Cheers.
